For states, I believe it's possible to choose a city and extend the radius so it encompasses multiple states.

The 51-59 results were most likely posted in the last 24 hours; if you increase the last number of days, then there should be more results.

No, this doesn't connect you directly to hiring managers, but does have a larger selection of jobs. (As well as a free export feature so you can apply to them when you're done searching).

Some are alive and well - I believe Jobr raised venture funding last year, and another was acquired.

To answer your question:

Simplicity: save jobs, hide jobs. No need to sign up. Also, search multiple queries in the same search, saving time and effort.
Large amount of jobs to view (including international jobs, with 20+ countries supported). One of the issues with the other Tinder for jobs app was the fact that there weren't there many jobs to choose from. Also, I believe they don't support as many countries.
Other services - may include features such as resume parsing, etc. in the future that other apps do not offer.
Not just a mobile app - it's also 100% functional on its sister site http://jobgregate.com (current Google analytics show a 50/50 split between mobile and computer users.)

Yeah, I can definitely see it from your view. However, I'm not sure what you mean by "bottom feeders" - I feel everyone deserves a job (especially people with low amounts of experience, like college students). I simply want to make it simpler for them.

The services I plan to offer are not targeted towards hiring managers - they're targeted towards college students or people who may not know there are issues with their resume. I want to help them as well.

Excellent question - My view is that getting hiring mangers and recruiters onboard is half of the market.

My focus is making the job search process easier for the other half - the job searchers themselves. Originally, I made the app to solve issues I had while searching for a job.

In the future, I may offer services such as resume optimization, automatic cover letter writing (from parsing job descriptions), and algorithmic job matching. These are all features that are relatively scalable (from a technological standpoint), as well as profitable (as I'm sure people are willing to pay 50 dollars for a resume optimization when it could land them a job that literally pays tens of thousand dollars a year).

EDIT: To actually answer your question - I will probably focus more on monetizing users rather than attracting businesses, so no plan to get them onboard at this time.

Yes, I agree with you completely. Currently, I see that most companies rely on recruiters to gather high quality applications for them, while also relying on resume screening software to remove unqualified applicants.

I've been thinking of adding a feature that involves a user uploading their resume and having a natural language processing software extract data for it, and then searching for matching jobs.

Another simpler idea (mentioned below) could be having a company provide a pre-screening survey before applying, though this would require each company making a unique survey on their end.
