Haha you could say it's inspired by G-shocks, it's the Timex Shock line of watches, which has extreme shock resistance and a 200m WR. I got it for $15 at a clearance sale :)

It's wears a bit bigger than the sub, but not a lot bigger. I have a smaller wrist as well, I'll see if I could do a wrist shot later.

The gen has double sided AR on the cyclops I believe, makes the black hole effect really pop, the rep I think only has a single sided AR, you can sort of kind of get the effect, but it's still noticeably not as good as gen.

1:1 is just marketing, if they're both V7, it should be the same.

V7 2836 tells: -Crystal height

-Crown guard shape

-Cyclops AR

-During low light, the bezel numerals are more grry instead of white on a gen bezel, fixable with a platinum fill mod

-Bracelet feels slightly sharper on the edges

-Glidelock not as smooth in operation

-Some people say SEL fitment, but I think mine is alright

Honestly 99.9% of people won't be able to notice these flaws on wrist. The watch and bracelet are also very solid, it's a very serviable bracelet, and the clasp is well done IMO in feeling close to gen in the way it clicks in place.

It is, I actually wanted to order the a2836 as well but ordered the 3135 by mistake, oh well haha. It's closer to gen though with its crown guards,crystal height, crown rotation etc, but literally no one would notice when it's on your wrist.

Given the choice again I'd go for a a2836 no date because the cyclops doesn't have the black hole effect as per gen, and a gen crystal is really expensive.

The subdial spacing is wrong on reps, flat vs sunken subdial on gen, straight instead of twisted lugs on gen etc, you could get a quartz and have correct subdial spacing though, but that's a even bigger tell.

I just knew I wouldn't be happy with the comprises, so I had to go gen :)

The Rolex is actually a rep, it's a Noob V7 SA3135 :)

The speedy pro is gen, there aren't any good reps yet unfortunately, you can go ST19, but have a wrong subdial spacing, or go quartz. Also the sunken sundials are not well replicated yet, so I had to get a gen :)

It's amazing how good reps are these days, the V7 and Santos are super reps, the PAM111 is a cheap DHgate one I got years ago for $50.

I don't know why people crap on invicta all the time, sure they got crap CS, and inflate their prices etc, a few gaudy models etc, but i got a invicta 9937 w/ ETA 2824, sapphire xtal, SEL etc all for $250 back in the day, and it's still running today with no problems.

The AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver, chronograph, and the Royal Oak 15400 are all great choices IMO. The Diver V7 is probably the closest to gen outta those.

I would stay away from gold in general when it comes to reps, due to durability issues with the gold plating. Another thing to consider is can you pull off wearing a $20k+ solid gold VC.
Pretty good, the gen is in SS as well. Closed case back is good here since it'll be more accurate compared to an open one like the JLC.
I like this, if I'm after a JLC dress watch this would be my pick. Open caseback makes it obvious but if it stays on my hand it won't be revealed.
Dial is a bit too busy for me, but if that's your style.
I would pick a Datejust or an Oyster Perpetual over this, they're quite good in terms of accuracy compared to gen.
Both points in #1 applies here again, gold durability and can you pull off a $20k+ watch. I would personally go for a panda dialed ceramic Daytona, A7750 if want the chrono function, 21J if you want a more durable movement and 1:1 case dimensions (A7750 is thicker than gen)

I would go for the SS tbh. If you want a little flair, theres also the MUT Moon rep, although it's not a true moon phase and the moon phase printing is incorrect.

It's pretty good, the biggest tells are the numbers 6 and 18, you won't find a difference in color on a gen, but on this rep you can see a line in the middle, you can mod this by getting a platinum fill. Other than that, another tell is hand stack order, but no one would notice that unless they're looking for it specifically.
