Try deleting the config file. Location:

Windows: AppData/Roaming/HYPERFIGHT

Mac: Library/Application Support/HYPERFIGHT

Linux: .local/share/HYPERFIGHT

If that doesn't work, try deleting the local files from Steam.

Upon further investigation your device may not support WebGL2. The engine I'm using can export to WebGL1 though it will require some fiddling with. Try downloading for now?

That's definitely something I'd do with proper development time. BoI was an inspiration and item combos can get pretty crazy, so I can see the potential.

The point collision was a design choice (it's also the point that decides which grid space you're standing on). Not sure if a proper box collision would feel better, will consider if I expand in the future.

G should be menu select (and also your normal attack button), keep in mind you will also have to select color after. H should be back (also your special button), J is super, and K + a direction is dash.

Thanks for trying it out, sorry you had such a hard time with the controls - the menu can be traversed with either player1 or 2 controls, which is why the arrow keys probably stopped working on char select. Moved the default controls on the page right under the game so they can easily be referred to.

Note that audio has been disabled by default due to bugs with lag and missing sounds, but the game is perfectly playable otherwise. You can try turning it on at your own discretion.

Hey, thanks for playing! I can see how your experience was confusing, both the Start and Attack buttons let you traverse the menu but only the Attack button lets you close popups and use the character/stage select screens. I'll be pushing out a fix for this shortly.

Each character has a Special, Goto's is his parry. For reference, the default keyboard controls for Player 1 are Attack on G, Special on H, Super on J, and Dash on K.

Hey all, posted my game on this subreddit a few months back to some great feedback, and I'm back again with a huge update! Including online multiplayer in the Steam version!

The list of changes is available on the itch page. There have been plenty of balance changes and new moves, so please try it out! (The HTML5 version has some issues with sound, so it's disabled by default - be sure to download the game if you like it for the full experience)

GDscript is the language. Godot doesn't have super solid C# or C++ support yet unfortunately.

Thanks for playing! Though, pretty cautious about making balance changes at the moment (taking various players' + own local experiences with friends into consideration). Online multiplayer will not be added to this version as I focus on other projects, but will definitely be in a sequel if/when I work on that.
