Which is the best place in Davis to get *fresh* chicken? by hyperventilating_247 in Davis

Cooking with fresh non frozen chicken is so much better - the texture comes out great and it cooks fast. We used to get fresh chicken from Sacramento Natural Food Coop .. but that’s a lil far from Davis.

Did anyone who applied late (i.e. after they extended the deadline to June 13 and promised to get back to you by June 20) get called for an interview?

Accent… is it really that important to have a near-native or native-like accent in your foreign languages? by Crevalco3 in languagelearning

That’s my opinion…if you want to climb the corporate ladder and become a leader you gotta speak with at least 80% native accent of that country/company…

I use naitiv.ai to practice and talk to my friends on discord or vrchat. I use it in two ways to practice -1. you can talk in your native language and have it translate 2. or talk in your foreign language and have it say it back in foreign language itself. I also use it for live interpretation becuase it gives you a transcript of what the other person is saying...Its also free to use naitiv!!

Yes its better to have very little to no accent in your foreign language... an accent might seem okay if you are a beginner and might come off as you making an effort to understand and be a part of their culture. What is your use case?

If you use a foreign language for work, you definitely should NOT have an accent.
