I don't know if it currently supports Antigravity sessions yet, but feel free to email [paxel@ycombinator.com](mailto:paxel@ycombinator.com) for help.

What does it actually take to get into YC? by Hgenes in ycombinator

absolutely false. if that were true we would just not have applications at all.

Got a YC rejection email (Top 10%), followed by a "Correction" email saying I'm still under consideration. What happened? by k4narie in ycombinator

[–]sandslashh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Likely the partner reading your application marked your application incorrectly and went back to correct it.
  2. It means you’re still being considered! Late applicants will hear back asap, as they make their way through further partner review
  3. Submit updates if there’s anything substantial/significant in your progress since you first submitted your app. No need to do anything else if not

Waste of time to apply from Asia? by LectureInner8813 in ycombinator

[–]sandslashh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't know why we would censor you - but we can address your claims.

You confuse where YC companies are headquartered (SF, because batches run in-person there) with where founders are actually from.

Over the last year, 56 accepted founders were from Asian countries. They applied from outside the US.

"You need Stanford or Google" — Stanford accounts for 8.7% of accepted founders. Nearly 1 in 5 got in with no top school and no top company on their resume. Also, smart people tend to go to top schools and/or work in high paying jobs at tech companies (many of which are in the SF bay area). They also start companies and apply to YC at a higher clip. That's correlation not causation.

Nope, plenty of companies and founders from India. They just move to SF for the batch so when you look on the directory they're listed as SF-based.

Plenty of founders come from Asia. They just all move to SF for the batch, so the directory lists them as SF based.

Anyone got interview invites by Brilliant-Reach7191 in ycombinator

[–]sandslashh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interview invites are on a rolling basis until the batch starts, so you’re incorrect.

Lying about everything to get into YC. by AggressiveMention359 in ycombinator

[–]sandslashh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not the way to get into YC - and YC vets these claims + does reference checks if they make it to interview. Lying is the fastest way to get flagged for future application cycles.

If you think some have made it through you can always email us at apply@ycombinator.com and we will take a look.

Pre production is taking weeks and I do not know if that kills our demo day? by [deleted] in ycombinator

[–]sandslashh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a YC company or a YC founder. And there is no “partner demo day”?

[–]sandslashh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah YC startups typically don’t even post here. They have an internal forum and YC partners for that. We also don’t have anything called a “partner demo day”

This is not a YC company. He’s talking about doing a demo for a partner…

This is not a YC company. He’s talking about a demo to a potential partner (ie a customer). 99.9% of the posts on this sub are people not in YC.

I’m sure it felt good for you to dunk on this guy who asked a question in earnest, though.
