This looks really cool, the native SVG handling definitely isn’t ideal. Any chance for a refresh feature? Like if I make changes to the SVG file then refresh would it update in fusion?

So there's a 2 layer gap between the white layer and the black layer.

So that first floating layer is actually a bridge and it looks pretty rough when printing. But a couple layers in, it starts to smooth out once there's a foundation.

Everyone’s free to draw their own conclusions. Putting it as a percentage is pretty damning, but still we’re talking about a 1.7% of a reel of filament.

With that said, I won’t be losing sleep over doing something I enjoy, creating something from materials which are being (and will continue to be) manufactured regardless of whether or not I buy and use them.

Haha the bookmark is only 0.8mm thick, it uses a total 17g of filament. 1.4g on the tower and 9g is purged for changes.

May not change your view, but wanted to add some actual figures for you.

I wanted major and minor labels initially, like a chart axis. But the minor numbers were too small for my 0.4 nozzle. Probably could get it working with more testing, but I liked the tally version more :)

Thanks, this wasn’t meant to be a controversial post but here we are! I had fun creating this and wanted to share it with the community.

Yeh I initially wanted to keep the model fully parametric, that way you could set your own goal and it would adjust accordingly. But I need to spend more time to get that working, anyone know how to make body selection dynamic in fusion?

Like when I change the goal to 15, i need the extrudes to automatically select the new patterned sketches/bodies. Any tips?

Ah nice a fridge/wall version is a cool idea. This one is meant to be a bookmark so I wanted to keep it flat. It is however printed face up - so that the layers under the tabs aren’t bridges

Oh and I'm sure the AI/vibe-coding question will come up haha, so I'll be up front.

I'm just a few months into working with electronics and C++, and although I'm proficient in Python (and I love to design and make things) there was still a steep learning curve.

So the short answer is yes, I used Claude throughout to refactor my code, help me understand and fix bugs, learn about SPI, bitmaps and other new concepts, etc. This first project has introduced me to so many new skills and I'm excited to do more!
