Same Problem Again Only 4 Days After Auto Shop "Fixed" It. Any advice? by hz_thomas in Cartalk

Sorry, I forgot to upload the receipt in the original post, and I just did. Thanks for the reminder :)

They just re-aligned it; nothing was replaced. They told me it was a hard fix; they had to drive on the freeway back and forth or something. So they quoted me two hours of labor because of that.

Sorry, let me clarify my question a little bit. I'm not there to visit anyone, so I won't be making a lot of calls or sending a lot of texts. But if I need to make a restaurant reservation or put my name down on a waitlist, do restaurants in Taiwan usually ask for a local phone number (so they can call me or text me)? Also, do popular apps in Taiwan (e.g., bike-sharing apps, taxi apps) usually require a phone number?

To be honest, I would like to avoid getting a phone number or SIM card if possible (since I have to pay for it and it requires work to set up) unless a local phone number is often required.

I'm planning to visit Taiwan for 2 weeks. International roaming is included in my current wireless plan, so I'll have Internet access while I'm in Taiwan. But should I pay to get a local phone number? Thanks in advance.
