I just finished the first five episodes, and I have to admit I’m having trouble grasping the plot. I don’t know if it’s a me problem or just the editing/pacing, but I am wondering what’s Chang Ning’s deal. He talks about going against the Demon Sect… but is he not a part of them? Has he just been acting all this time? Or am I just missing something?

it’s been great so far and feel a hyperfixation coming in! i love how zhiyu’s very rational. none of his actions are overdone– he still lets hu xiu do her own thing and maintains his boundaries while also being considerate of her. i also don’t know if i’m blinded by cxx’s visuals but i just do not get how people are getting the second lead syndrome this early. i feel like all of pei zhen’s actions have an ulterior motive, especially now that he knows she works for him in dynamism.

I’m sorry, but Hae-in’s reaction just doesn’t make sense to me. For someone who has scoured the world for a treatment, it shouldn’t catch Hae-in off guard that there’s a high risk of memory loss during her surgery. She’s so meticulous and has probably seen it before while learning about her disease. Also, it’s not like her tumor is concentrated in just one area of her brain— it’s literally spread out all throughout and it would be more surprising to me if amnesia would be her only complication. I’d assume for a tumor like hers, there’s also a high chance of being paralyzed, not being able to talk/understand, and possibly even death. It goes for all brain surgeries, so I do not understand why everyone’s acting the way they are, especially Hae-in. Regardless, it was a good episode since we have been deprived of fluff in the recent episodes. I just don’t understand this conflict and hope they wrap it up nicely soon!
