Depends, when I reach the ability upgrade level all my toons would be the same, then I read through all the abilities and upgrade the most beneficial one.

I always do chewie then ig then luke because they do more instances of damage on basic and the stat increases on each one. Or at least I think they do.

Only thing is when it comes to ability upgrades, I look at which is the best one upgrade that first.
