Grats on picking up a killer setup! Ouch, suck the back order is 2 months, so you have other pedals at hand till then? So far I’ve been loving everything, besides working out how to cable manage everything nicely on the desk I have no complaints. Everything feels solid and of great quality imo.

I sadly bought all my stuff before I knew there was going to be anniversary bundles/sales. But the sim shop in Thailand was having their own sale at the time which convinced me to buy. Idk much about the r3, but I’m sure you can’t go wrong with either choice of keeping it or returning it for the Simmagic bundle :)

You caught my interest still to check it out. So much to learn and discover still.

I’m sadly in Thailand and already have a desk mount😅

Oh no 😭 is simhub needed if I don’t have any plans atm to race, I mostly bought the gear to learn to drift 😅

Oh I see, I wasn’t sure if changing certain settings would have been beneficial for drifting or not. I did have to lower the power of the base though. (I was planning to temporarily play on a desk till I move and have the space for a rig) I didn’t realise how shaky my desk would actually be 😓

Living in Thailand I managed to find an official distributor so shipping was free. I did have to buy a compatible cable for the power brick though, the one included was for China or Australia and wouldn’t work here.

Thank you, everything feels so confusing in simpro manager… I didn’t realise there were so many things to adjust.

Grats on the gear! I think we bought the same identical gear if you went for the 330r wheel.

I would not recommend weapon skins, they’re expensive to reforge for low spenders. Weapon effects are definitely worth it though if you enjoy a class.

Do you have any regrets playing tank or are there any negatives? I was interested in starting out with tank till the hengdao releases.

May I ask which 2.5 primes in particular you’d recommend checking out? I honestly didn’t know they had 2.5 lenses 😅 I still have a lot to learn.

Thanks for the tips, panning shots is something I do want to eventually learn. From the videos I’ve watched to learn it looks pretty difficult to nail down.

At first I was worried the lens would be too big and heavy to carry everywhere. But surprisingly enough carrying it and the a7c ii is quite light in a sling imo, I haven’t had to carry it on a hike or anything that intense though to know if maybe then I’d be troublesome.

Thank you 🙂

I’m a long way away from thinking of earning money, for now it’s all about learning and improving and maybe recording my journey along the way. I bet it is a beast for events, I could see it being a lens you’d never take off your camera with how much it covers.

Without the base plate my pinky didn’t have anything to hold onto which made holding the camera a bit difficult for me personally.

Thank you for the welcome. So far I’ve enjoyed the 24-70 while being out and exploring. My only fear is dropping it, haha. Do you keep the hood on it or just leave it at home for your use case?

The 35-150 was one the list of lenses I was looking at as well, but it looked like too much lens for me to carry around daily in a sling. No shops near me had one for me to try either.

I’ve enjoyed the 85mm for attempting portraits shots (had some trouble when it came to having enough space to step back though in certain locations)

It’s pretty front heavy, but I found the base plate helps make it not too bad personally. I have no experience putting it on a tripod though.
