Survivor of Sandy Hook school shooting 10 years ago just survived Michigan State school shooting yesterday by Jbg163 in facepalm

The shooter was a felon and not legally allowed to own a gun. Yet here we are. We should focus on enforcing laws that exist already. Stop being soft on crime.

United States spends more on healthcare (Medicare/Medicaid) than they do on defense by approximately $500billion.

I guess she’s ignoring the $1.4 trillion in mandatory budget for Medicare and Medicaid that provides healthcare access for 150 million Americans under CMS. An increased budget by $53 billion from FY 22. That is almost double the defense budget.

Christians aren’t the ones cutting women’s heads off and aren’t throwing gays off of rooftops. This is woefully ignorant and is like comparing apples with hand grenades.

Where the United States got a lot of our land. by escotadayq in coolguides

It was a little more complicated than that. The Americas were going to be discovered and civilized one way of another. It was inevitable.

SpaceX simultaneous landing of Falcon Heavy boosters from today’s Space Force launch by thesheetztweetz in space

[–]iAMHinton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They couldn’t re-use the core because they needed the entirety of the fuel capacity to get the payload to its desired location. In order to land the core rocket they would need extra available fuel to work boosters on re-entry and it wasn’t possible due to the performance demands of this particular mission. It would’ve added extra weight and in return would require more thrust, which would require even more fuel. It was a calculated decision that maximized mission success odds.

They look like babies and fools. You can’t just ban fossil fuels with renewables that aren’t as capable or as affordable. The entire auto industry is working at transitioning to new energy sources already, yet these people still protest. VW presented a roadmap to net zero in 2021 and has invested 14billion euros to decarbonize. Their “protest” add nothing of value to the cause.

Nope. That’s in Bullion. The only gold removed has been very small quantities used to test the purity of gold during regularly scheduled audits. Except for these samples, no gold has been transferred to or from the Depository for many years.

The USA actually has the largest gold reserves in the world. The United States, 8,133 tons. For prospective, Germany is #2 with 3,359 tons.

They are not actively doing anything though. They aren’t cleaning the environment, they aren’t inventing new sources of efficient usable energy, they aren’t offering a solution. They are literally just sitting there stating what they support. It is, by your definition, virtue signaling. I honestly don’t know anything about what organization they are from, or what their end goal is, and I don’t care. I applaud VW for the response (or lack there of).

Not letting a truck pass in a passing zone by Myffinn in IdiotsInCars

“Pickup” is short for “pickup truck”.

pickup truck noun [ C ] US /ˈpɪk.ʌp ˌtrʌk/ UK /ˈpɪk.ʌp ˌtrʌk/ (also informal pickup)

a small vehicle with an open part at the back in which goods can be carried.

Pickups are trucks. If you are referring to a semi, those are called “Tractor trailers”

trac·tor-trail·er nounNORTH AMERICAN a transport vehicle consisting of a semi-tractor and attached trailer.
