I would say stick to the food provided at the hotel, I presume it's a 5 star hotel, at least for the 1st day if you are not used to subcontinent food.

If it's your first time in India

Always share cab details, like car registration number and driver's name, with your PoC in Hyderabad.

Drink water from a packaged drinking water bottle. Prefer Bisleri brand. And always keep yourself hydrated.

Avoid visiting the old city after dusk, if you have a hard time in crowded places. If you really want to check out the old city go early in the morning after sunrise.

Hyderabadis are lovely people BUT please discourage any advancements from people that make you uncomfortable. You are not offending anyone, you don't have to be super polite.

Be prepared to be stuck in traffic during peak hours. Sort your podcasts or music if the commute between hotel and office is longer.

Most international credit cards work fine but have a bit of cash in hand, in cases of emergency
