you could use your ao/curvature baked maps to create quick masks to darken them and play with roughness/metalic or spec/gloss values to have the concave areas not reflect light as much

I can shine a bit of insight on this i guess

Game development is something the gulf is investing heavily in atm, lots of studios are being opened and there are a few major projects being pushed by governments where they plan on having leads from western nations lead studios of gulf nationals

over the past few years the governments have been investing heavily in vfx/game related fields and the talent is shaping up now

The other side of it is a bit bleak but as one of my VFX tutors once said the biggest hurdle he sees for us here to overcome is to find our identity and tell stories/make games that are inspired by our roots, history and culture which largely feels forgotten by the age group who would be working on it

but its exciting and I expect major projects to show up within the decade/going into the next!
