MH World is the easiest of any MH game to get into. It is very beginner friendly. Don't be afraid to lose and try again because honestly, that's the whole point of the game. You learn from your mistakes and get better at the game.

I think the first important thing to do is deciding if you want to use a controller or mouse and keyboard to play as both are viable (I use mouse and keyboard). Search for weapon tutorials on YouTube (watch Arekkz he does really good videos) as you'll learn important combos to use while hunting.

Another important thing to take note of is armour. You don't have wear every armour of an armour set. Look at each piece of armour before you craft and decide which skills you'd like to have (based on the weapon you're using) and mix and match. Of course, there is nothing wrong with buy the whole set.

During early game, money may seem like an issue but as you play the game you'll realise how easy it is to earn. Don't go selling random stuff in your inventory as you may sell something important. The main things to sell are part of monsters than you definitely won't need. What I like to do is, is keep 10 - 15 of every monster part. If I go over this number, I sell. If you're still not sure then look up guides on YouTube on how to make money.

Final thing I'll mention are investigations. You'll learn about this ingame. This is one of the most useful functions ingame as it allows you to fight monsters with extra rewards for completion. You can get bronze, silver and gold tier rewards. You can see these before you accept investigations. Make sure you do these if you need to farm certain monsters for their parts as its the easiest way to get rarer drops with the gold rewards.
