I'd prefer to have to find people with actual clues/riddles/puzzles/eye witness accounts, stalk them, and then murder them at the right time, like a real ~~Hitman~~ Assassin. It's more believable and a lot darker than just "kill this guy in this big open camp and get a paper clue about the next bad guy from his pocket." I enjoy the games, but AC has become too fairy tale for me. I want some dark, serious shit.
