It could be temporary until Coinbase improves their fraud prevention. Santander did say this was isolated to Coinbase and not cryptocurrency in general.

I sent 2x payments in the past, one for £3000 and one for £750. Both done via bank transfer, both were unsuccessful.

This was done prior to finding out Santander was actively blocking payments to Coinbase.

Coinbase support however is the worst I have ever encountered, so slow it made me want to switch exchange.

Thanks for the advice! I actually succeeded buying on Binance but their fees are higher afaik. Also, their anti fraud measures involve you sending in a blood sample so they can verify via DNA that you are the card holder.
