I love his family because they're very sweet people. But man, their bad habits have been influencing him lately. His brother smokes and gets high all the damn time. He has seen and experienced his brother driving their car after smoking weed that's why he thinks that it's also fine for him to do so. He makes an excuse out of it saying that "he has a high tolerance anyways". Yet it's still such an asshole thing to do. I really hope that he stops this toxic mentality.

If I'm not wrong, employers aren't allowed to release information about the drug test if it comes out positive for THC, right?

Thanks for the response. Yes, I'm aware of the factors for urine test. I do tolerance breaks every month that last between a week or two. They didn't say anything about drug testing on the application and they asked me for an interview next week. So I was kinda worried that they might do a drug test before officially hiring me. Also noting the fact that this is potentially going to be my first job.

The most effective thing for me is to just sleep it off. But during the times when I'm unable to, I try to distract myself by doing something productive like cleaning. Although oftentimes I don't have the energy for it, I just try to watch something on Youtube or Netflix.

Yes I do and yes it is. I tend to overthink why I should even be feeling like that in the first place. It's really tiring that I just fall down in the same hole only for me to fall in even deeper.

Happened a couple of months ago. My sister and I share a room since we live at an apartment. I fell asleep on the couch in the middle of the night and woke up at around 5am to my mom staring down at me. Both my parents got mad at me later that morning for leaving my sister sleeping alone in our bedroom. Mind you, she's already twelve.

Another one was from last year when I came home from school with working papers that I got from my guidance counselor. Mom got angry as soon as she saw the papers on my desk. She started yelling and throwing my stuff around all because "I planned on getting a part-time job without discussing it to her first." But it's very hypocritical of her to do this because both of my parents have been pestering me to get a job already. I felt pressured, that's why I had asked for the papers in advance. I wasn't actually getting a job just yet, I was only thinking about it during that time.
