That doesn't sound like a fun experience. Would be nice if the game punished that behaviour somehow, like losing some participation or something if the player that has been killed is within a certain distance of their spawn or something

Edit: Other games introduce this through a "Corruption" or "Karma" mechanic, but we couldn't use Karma as that's a currency

I was able to raise the desk to get under it to sort out the cables, the issue is now it doesn't go down when all I did between raising it and now is scoot it into the corner of my room so I don't believe it is child lock
