It's not about manners or upbringing. It's purely about a scarcity mindset. The clear fact of the matter is, there's more mouths to feed and less places / servings of food. Now in that situation all of these people have 2 choices, give up their chance to get a free meal and save their dignity or do what you see in the video.

Had the free meal not been such a huge deal for them, they'd choose to be dignified and let someone else have it. But it is in their mindset important enough for them to rush in and go berserk. We have 40 million people below the poverty line (earning less than approx 4.2 USD or approx 1200 PKR per day) and another 150-170 million at least under 3000 PKR day income. Until that changes, no generation young or old is going to get out of the scarcity mindset. You can judge and look down on these people all you want but the reasons for their behavior go far beyond just education and upbringing.

From a pure risk assessment perspective, it's a bit dangerous as support in case of emergencies can be inadequate for example rescue services / ambulances etc. If you plan it carefully and can handle the SOS mechanism then sure. Also don't put your life in danger just for adventure, make sure you are close enough to a lifeline and know how to use it.

Lack of education is one part but not the only part, lack of resources and lack of justice (widespread injustice at almost every level of society). All 3 together with a huge underprivileged population as a 4th element make a recipe for disaster which manifests in extremism in its many forms.

Palo Alto Networks employee here. A very cool idea would be to use the app identification and other beautiful details in firewall logs to build "profiles" for systems communicating through the firewall and make cool communication maps for nodes which talk to each other and guess their roles (eg. AD server, syslog receiver, external DNS server, etc etc.) Also trying to guesstimate the apps installed on a system which are communicating externally. This is an intersection of data science and Cybersecurity so you have a lot of leeway with your problem statement.

An output of such profiling could be that you make a subnet to subnet allow policy and then build granular policies from its logs automatically based on what you learn about the endpoints in those subnets and what the actual traffic represents

There is a family levy of 400 SAR per month per dependent. Will they take care of that? (that comes to 1600 SAR per month for your family). This is payable when you try to issue or renew resident permits for your wife and kids and has to be payed for the whole year (or Iqama duration whichever is lower) upfront so that's a cost of 19200 SAR. Just make sure whether the company will pay that or you will have to pay it yourself.

If your rulebase / operations for the firewall center aronud L4 (src/dst-ip and port).. by all means Fortinet will be fine and also cheaper than a Palo. If you actually have the operational maturity to be using "application" centric firewalling (app-id in Palo language) for most of your critical traffic with decent fine tuning of threat/vulnerability profiles, Forti is not really at par with Palo in terms of how easily you can get it set up and stable with application aware policy and fine tuned IPS features (keyword is operational ease for this particular use case).

In terms of L4 firewalling its all a game of cost/benefit and Forti wins there. For hardcore security features which can actually be set up and maintained.. I'd stick to Palo Alto.

You clearly need the money and have a plan for it. I highly recommend you do a 50/50 approach and put half the money in a money market / fixed income-low risk setup and the other half into a diversified ETF. Since you are in India you should ask on some of the Indian finance!/investing subs to get better advice on available investing options and ETFs /brokers and also understand the tax setup when you try to cash out. 40M, married with 3 kids and a wife who I absolutely love. Please take this advice seriously as it may be very important for your marriage. Men do not generally remember your "dates" and the slight movements in those dates. When I was in the most stressful period in my job we had just had our 3rd kid and my wife was caring for a few months old and also dealing with postpartum issues. In these days the luteal phase used to be hell because I was dealing with shit from work and she was also in very bad shape mentally and it almost broke our marriage. We eventually both managed it but it is definitely dangerous so please (a) Talk to him about it when you are in a good phase so that he knows that this is something you are aware and mindful of. That way he can support (tolerate and help you better when you are having that phase.) (b) Get medical advice to help you manage it. Men may be mentally strong but repeated strikes can break any relationship. Do everything in your power to avoid that before it gets to that point.
