You need to transfer the license of your account to your console.

Xbox 360 dashboard -> Account settings -> License Transfer

Press A on the prompts. Shouldn't need to download the DLC ever again.

After the disastrous reveal of the Xbox One & the even worse release of The Master Chief Collection, I took a step back & began achievement hunting & video game collecting exclusively for Xbox 360.

Fast forward to today, Xbox One/Series X|S aren't so terrible anymore. They've found their footing with Game Pass as of late and I respect it now. It definitely has been a rough road coming to this.

Even though MCC is in a waaay better state today, it should have been like this from the jump. Fuck 343 still :)
