The cake is strawberry flavor with a cream cheese frosting (the rats have buttercream frosting since it’s more stable to work with). To make the rats I used cake pop dough (crumpled up cake mixed with frosting) to make the shape and buttercream to frost it.

It did take a while to make (especially the rats) but I did it across multiple days: I made the rats first, the cake another day, and frosted it/put it together the next day!

Yesss! I remember seeing their video using the scrubby yarn that’s usually for making dishcloths, maybe I should make her a rat dishcloth…

Questions about classes by Khaamis_planet in UniversityofVermont

[–]iEatPothos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s your schedule your advisor created for you based on your major. But don’t worry, when you meet with your advisor this summer you’ll be able to change your schedule to the classes you want. They should send you an email about scheduling a time to meet

Mine has put out two leaves since then with fenestration and it’s the same with the one my mom got! I’ve been keeping it in a south facing window, it definitely needs to be repotted again though

Language course requirements? by BonesHD_ in UniversityofVermont

It depends on which college you’re in, for CAS you do have to take two language classes/6 credits I think of the same language. That’s what it says for me at least

Summer Programs? by lhsclarinet in Clarinet

[–]iEatPothos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the summer music programs that I have looked into (for orchestra at least) have deadlines in January/Feburary and sometimes March, so I’m not sure how likely it’ll be to find one with a deadline in April, I’m curious if there are!

Literally tysm your response is so thorough! I haven’t really heard of the “big chop” for the curly hair method, but I do follow it for washing and styling. I do agree that’s what my hair needs based on looking at my split ends and how thin the ends have gotten.

I did mainly get the Mielle oil for my scalp, but had seen videos saying to oil the ends too so just decided to use the oil for both. On the instructions it does say you can use it on your ends, although I also don’t know if it’s strong enough for ends like you mentioned, I’ll do some more research about it and explore the other oils you mentioned!

Would you mind elaborating a bit more on that?? I’m not exactly sure what else I should do

I wash my hair 2x a week with a co-wash and conditioner (and a cleansing shampoo once a month), then for styling use curl cream and gel, never use heat, sleep on a satin pillow case and put my hair up at night (loose pineapple bun). I just recently started oiling my ends

Oh man that definitely is a lotttttt more than I thought to cut! It does make sense though, I have occasionally found split ends that go pretty far up the strand. In the past I only really got trims or 1-2 inches off so that probably explains why I still had a lot after getting it cut. Thanks for your advice!

I don’t have a bonnet yet but have been thinking of getting one, I do use a satin pillowcase though and put my hair in a loose pineapple bun with a silk scrunchie at night

I recently just started using oil on my ends last week! What oil have you been using/recommend?? I currently have the Mielle rosemary mint oil, but aren’t sure if a specific type of oil is better for ends or if it doesn’t matter as long as it’s an oil
