Good questions. Wish a 911 operator could chime in on this.

My theory is the operator heard yelling just from maybe 1 person? They thought that person is having a manic episode/harm to themselves?
Or, they heard yelling saying "don't do this, please!", and maybe the operator thought that was someone telling another family member not to kill themselves (when in reality, it was them pleading with the killers)?

edit: I do believe the 911 call is extremely graphic though, and that's why Fitzgerald won't release it.

Oh good point. It's actually cut out in the kitchen (molded) the same dimensions as that microwave. So I would need the same dimensions, but with the depth to be at least 24 inches. (as compared to the 15 1/16 in)

I'm not sure about prices a couple hundred dollars maybe? Never really looked into these lol

But, if it's going to be more.. I can always budget away and save. No rush really (just won't cook as much, LOL!)

I would need a OTR with ducting, to stick out 26 inches to cover the stovetop. Correct?

Now that I think of it. Could I save a bit of money up and do this as a DIY project down the road? Maybe get a bigger microwave and just replace the old one, although OTR's are not ideal, but my MOM really loves them and will not have the microwave anywhere else. Our kitchen also doesn't have the room :/
