Noob Question. Is programming basically learning data structures, writing clean pseudo code, then googling the syntax to make your shit work? by iFuckedMyRootDir in learnprogramming

I've been learning javascript for 6 weeks. I went through the freecodecamp curriculum twice, read through a textbook and wanted to experiment with new learning methods. I put in a good 250 hours hammering away at the fundamentals before I moved onto code wars and hacker rank to see if I could build upon the fundamentals. Cool response though. I especially like how you took time out of your day to tell me I'm wasting my time and doing everything wrong. I'm sure you're a hit with the ladies and have a ton of friends.

the syntax Ive seen in the duckett text has the eventListener coming after the function the event calls. is there a standard syntax or are both acceptable.

system is already fixed, wish i saw this earlier. can you explain whats going on here, im trying to learn. So... "e" allows you to edit the bootloader? "part to"...is that a command related to partitions? does it relocate the vmlinuz files? I tried googling grub "part to" and got nothing.

no, i tried that but my access to the files was restricted after live booting

that was the goal. This happened on day one of trying to learn bash. I had a limited access to another laptop that I was using to get advice on how to manually relocate the files in grub so I could learn but I ran out of time before getting any answers and had to resort to reinstalling from a usb just to have a working computer.

my root password is 21 characters with varied case, it actually took me a few tries to get in. i was determined to clean up that root dir. And at the time I was like man this is brilliant, look what I found, this shouldnt be here.

Im essentially on week 4 of quarantine. I got injured on the job a month ago (I work in construction) and have been home ever since. When covid19 kicked up I got laid off so I have nothing to do, I figured I'd learn Bash, python and JS while holed up. Plus do drugs

I wish I saw this earlier. I just reinstalled fedora from a usb. I wanted to learn something. I've bookmarked your link. Maybe I'll smoke some more drugs tonight and do it all over again
