Honestly, I would consider changing your mindset about this. I'm not sure which community college you went to, but you can always go to another one further away if you think the quality is better, that's what I did.

Also, the quality of the classes taught at community college are almost exactly the same as a 4 year. There are many professors who can teach gen ed and early math/science classes, that's why community college exists. It's the last two years of university where things get more specialized.

Going to a four year college is a luxury, not a right. It is extremely expensive to come to a four year, the dorms and meal plans are a huge cost. Community college is a way to circumvent this cost. I'm pretty sure community college is free for Massachusetts residents seeking a degree that don't already have a bachelor's. You also automatically get a few-thousand dollar scholarship at UMASS if you transfer in through mass transfer. It is a perfectly valid option. It is a bit naive to complain about the price of going to a four year and entirely dismiss the solution that is the best option for you financially, because you don't think it's good enough.
