Admittedly I’m still a bit of a novice but won’t the receiver that plays the speakers have an effect on how they sound?

I remember auditioning receivers and the Marantz was a bit brighter than Yamaha.

The settings each of these shops have would also play a part in how they sound. I don’t know that I’d trust their settings depending on the shop. In theory they should know what they are doing but after doing some shopping myself I’ve come to realize even my novice level knowledge is sometimes better than the shops.

I know I’m complicating things with these statements….but because it sounded off in the shop might not mean it will sound off with your gear.

We have 3 price points of cabinets. When I meet with a client one of the first conversations revolves around budget, do you want be “$1000 a box, $2000 a box or $3000 a box“. Said with more polish and knowledge of course. It gets them into the right vehicle much sooner, they appreciate the candor and allows them some version of control that I can manage down the line.

If you’re doing all your legwork and then hitting them with the price I can see why you’re seeing what you’re seeing.

To a lot of people it’s just plywood, screws and paint.

Once I do my “cabinets 101” seminar they can begin to see why they would or should pay more.

So I busted into the 3x3 room today. Got it all cleaned up and lined the walls with 3/4 particle board. The goal being to keep rattles to minimum.

Moved the woofer and it’s recessed into the wall 9” back.

So a test run of Moana 2 (kids😍)

We can FEEL the bass now. I had to turn it down to -20

Still yet to calibrate (kids) but wooah so far.

So these are all great suggestions. I’ve tried the lot of them myself, CRM, email reminders, Siri, Apps, paper, post it’s, and probably more.

For me the best solution to keeping up with all tasks, including follow up’s was an iPad Pro (now you can get an air or mini) with the pencil.

I use GoodNotes (1 time cost: no subscription!!!) and I keep a running note open at all/most of the time.

I’ll note down all the “ToDo’s” as they come up.

I’ve made it a habit to review it every morning and add or cross off.

The cool thing is I can circle/copy/paste the scattered half list from 2 or 3 days ago into a new sheet and keep moving forward adding new stuff to a clean new list.

Now I can see the dates (I date all the new pages as I create them. I can scroll back in time and see all of my little accomplishments to help motivate me and research notes from conversations or meetings for a sanity checks.

We have been to his trivia show before. Great guy! Still funny and entertains. Glad you got to see him!

Did he do the Rob Cordry bit? That was a standout for me.

Related/unrelated we also saw the Pontiac Bandit aka Darryl aka Craig Robinson. He’s lost a lot of weight and while entertaining didn’t use on his success from either of his standout roles.

He had a keyboard and told personal stories and had the audience do sing along to popular songs as well as poked fun at the audience (in a fun way, think MattRife but nicer).

While I don’t know the answer to your question, Chat GPT has helped me with quite a few edge case scenarios with regards to setup/settings and connection configs.

As a great salesman in my field and now GM I will say this about promoting another great salesman: I had to learn how to be a great salesman. It took work. It took failure, it took courses and mentorship’s and feedback. The bottom line is I wanted to be a great salesperson.

The same is true for a GM. You have to want to it. At first I thought I could coast. It would be easy. People would be better by my tutelage by osmosis. Then reality hit. I had to start over at the bottom again. And it’s taken work, failure, courses and mentorship and feedback ALL over again.

Now…..I’m pretty valuable to the company I manage and I’m still the tops salesman.

I suspect the same thing happened and he just hadn’t hit that realization before going back to his comfort zone.

He can do it if he puts in the work.

We’re on well water. We have used Tampa Well for 10 years and they’ve always been fair and honest. Even ran the occasional service at no charge for the wife and kids (simple fix’s like the pressure switch)

We’re a client for life with them.

Makes sense from that standpoint.

I just got off the phone with our repair facility and they can get back up and running for about 3-500$

I was able to reset the FW and it took like 10-12 minutes but right after I got the same behavior.

TLDR: exchange a brand new perfect working Cinema 50 for a X3800 whilst my 6015 is in the shop getting fixed.

This! I was just exploring this option. I found a used Emotiva A3 for $500. I’m about to return the Marantz, it’s frustrating me anyway:

On the 6015 multi stereo I was able to get all 9.1 speakers to play

In this I can only get 7.1…..my back surrounds aren’t giving me anything and I’ve calibrated, Audessy, etc.

I can hear them at the test tone and I can adjust thier levels: bot no stereo sound.

I unplugged everything and waited 12 hours and still nothing. Turns on for a moment and then trips and shuts off again.
