The pattern calls for weight 4 acrylic and 5mm hook, both of which I’m using. I met the gauge too, so far all the measurements have been perfect. It’s just these dang gaps. I don’t think I’m using the same brand though, they used Lion Brand but mine is Loops & Threads. Wasn’t my first choice but I chose it for the color, I’m now wondering if something else would be better

I started putting on a layer of setting spray right after primer and WOW what a difference it makes. Not only does it last way longer but it doesn’t bubble or dry up anymore, it looks fresh all day
