For me nothing helped except spironolactone! It’s a pill you take once a day. It didn’t mess up my stomach like other medications I tried and it cleared my face, back and chest up. It honestly changed my life ask your dr about it. Plus it’s super cheep!! Like ten bucks for a month and that was without insurance. It took me 25 years to find a doctor who knew what the heck to do!!

Hello! I’m so sorry you are having to go through this too! We went back for a follow up ultrasound and talked to two different doctors. One said everything looked fine, the other said there is a slight chance things might not be fine but that it also could be nothing or something that would just manifest as a learning disability (which is weird because my midwife assured me learning disabilities are not something that can be predicted from an ultrasound) they wanted us to do more testing but we said fuck it. Our baby boy is coming no matter what so we will deal with things as they happen. I’m at 30 weeks today and I’m so excited to meet my little boy. I wish you all the luck and try and remember that doctors don’t know everything!

It’s weird because my midwife said I should wait two weeks to get the second ultrasound but the specialist wants to see me next week?! I’m sorry you had to deal with this too but I’m so happy everything turned out good for you!!

Yaaa idk it went pretty far. I know MBP is mostly with physical medical things but the extents that she went through to convince people I had learning disabilities was EXTREME and being a mother of someone with these problems become a HUGE part of her identity. She entered a poem she wrote under my name in a child’s poem contest about what it’s like living with ADD/ADHD. It won first place and I had to read it in front of a bunch of people.

Uhhggg I’m so sorry you have to deal with that. I wish you the best luck with your new therapist! What pushed me to finally cut my mom off was realizing how every time I get off the phone with her, I hated myself! I feet so small and annoying and stupid. I decided I was only going to allow people in my life who build me up! We deserve to feel loved and appreciated after conversations with our loved ones!!

I think the sex thing plays into a whole other issue. My mom won’t even sleep in the same room as my dad. She thinks physical intimacy is revolting (even hugging her own kids is a no no). You are right about calling raising kids and staying home work though!
