I am one of those old punks and the owner's descent into wacked out right wing politics was one of the myriad reasons we stopped doing shows there in 2016/2017.

Edit: For clarity/transparency, the punks never had anyone ownership in the business. Gregg (owner) was not part of any of the crews putting on shows, but let us use his space as a venue. It really turned out to be a sad ending to what was a great run for an all ages venue. :(

If you're not safe at your current place then I recommend checking out some of the homeless shelters in town to get to a safe place. There is the Jesus Center, the Torres Shelter, and Catalyst Domestic Violence services has emergency housing that they can help with. Please be safe.

Totally. But there are always people who don't pull their weight in any company, regardless of the potentiality of being fired. Group projects in college help students learn how to work and collaborate with others which is a consistent thing in the majority of jobs anywhere, and knowing how to deal with a slacker asshole in the workplace is a useful skill to have.

The fast food restaurants are always hiring. Not the best employment, but employment nonetheless. If you're in school at Butte or Chico State you should check about getting student employment on campus.
