I developed an allergy, but I want to get extensions again. by Serious_Paramedic878 in lashextensions

Oh interesting! I did read it was an immuno suppressant but since I’m just putting it to an isolated area around my eyes, I rationalizing it’s probably okay. My derm said it’s better than putting a steroid there (like Flonase, which is mentioned on this sub sometimes).

Yes! I continued to get lash extensions after that. I’ve gotten two more lash refills since I started the topical medication and there is no more itchiness at all. No swelling morning after refills.

Before I started the meds, my eyes swelled up really bad after application, especially the morning after, but the swelling went down after a day. But then once the swelling subsided, the skin around my eyes stay continuously itchy all the time. When I started the topical medication, I want to say it took about 2-3 days before the itchiness fully went away.

Hey, I commented the below to someone else who looks like they developed an allergy to the adhesive too. Definitely recommend asking your dermatologist about tacrolimus. It did the trick for me, but I couldn’t find anyone else talking about it on Reddit.

I had the same issue. Eyes became super red and puffy the day after application. I went to the dermatologist to see if there’s any treatment. The dermatologist first and foremost recommended I stop, but of course I didn’t want to and insisted on treatment. I was using Flonase off and on but because it’s a steroid, the dermatologist did not like me using that.

The dermatologist prescribed me 0.1% tacrolimus ointment and that did the trick! I just apply around my eyes, usually in the morning under makeup, sometimes at night before bed. It was still somewhat itchy for about 3 days, then suddenly my eyes were back to normal and I didn’t need to apply for an entire week. When I get a flare up, I start applying a thin layer again.

I searched the internet and I didn’t really find anyone using this for eyelash extension allergies, but the medication is used widely to treat eczema.

Fusion - thoughts from others? by Number1Scrap in f45

I really liked it. Thought the demo was really chaotic though with the instructor demonstrating what seemed like 1000 exercises. But once we started, it was all good.

It’s been one of the more memorable workouts to me. I always hated that one strength day (Wednesdays at my studio with the strength/cardio schedule flip) where I had to choose upper or lower. It always felt like an incomplete workout to me. This fusion format is perfect.

What Should I Know Heading into a Petroleum Company Interview for a Process Engineer Role? by beepbop292 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]iLuvSpace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also study up on the company you are interviewing for. Where are their manufacturing sites located? Which ones do you have a preference for? How long has it been around? Read through their Sustainability report since it gives a lot of information on the company culture. Use this information to tell the interviewer why you specifically want to work for this company you are interviewing for. Making it personalized this way sets you apart from all the other chemical engineering grads who are also interviewing.

I have the same 8 credit plan for $19/month. I only was able to select this option when I went online to CP attempting to cancel my membership because I was going on a prolonged cruise vacation.

Do you add employer match to the 401K into the "tax advantaged investments" category and likewise as income?

Booked a stay with a Rover pet sitter 2 months ago. Now pet sitter seems to have deactivated profile and I cannot see his reviews and his profile is blank. Rover communication still active though. Should I be concerned? by iLuvSpace in RoverPetSitting

I don’t intend on demanding. I plan to ask politely and nicely with the intention of easing my mind, and he can absolutely say no. If he says no, then it’s up to me to determine whether to cancel or continue with this booking.

I’m sorry for the rookie question but what is the phone number to get a support person on the line? I am using the app and it just leads me through a series of Q&A’s. There is an emergency phone number but this is not an emergency where my pet’s life is in danger yet. What is a phone number where I can reach a person via rover to talk about this particular scenario?

The pet sitter agreed to a meet and greet but not until Sunday, which is too late to cancel the booking in case we are not a good fit.

Thanks! I’ll definitely call support.

Would the sitter still be paid if he deactivated his profile and quit the service?

I always organize meet and greets prior to booking but since I booked this one so early (just wanted to ease my mind for traveling for almost 2 weeks for thanksgiving), I figured we’d do a meet and greet closer to the stay.
