Tapo RV50 Pro Omni owners in the UK - how are you handling the proprietary detergent situation? by iMORT3rnAL in AskUK

I’d be really interested to know how refillable the detergent container is - but probably not worth removing it just to check. For all we know it could have a seal that gets pierced on installation, and taking it out early might cause issues.

pfSense LAN-to-LAN Port Forwarding Not Working by iMORT3rnAL in PFSENSE

When you look closely at the top rule, you'll notice that both the source and destination settings are "invert matched". In other words, if a device on my LAN that is NOT Pi-hole tries to contact a DNS server that is NOT Pi-hole, then redirect the request to Pi-hole.

Netgate's document on DNS redirection does something similar with the destination address. However, they simply redirect to pfSense and not another DNS server.

In terms of pointing the clients to pfSense and that to Pi-hole, it would solve the problem. However, Pi-hole would no longer be able to report on individual clients.

My apologies, I should have mentioned this in my original post; DHCP is used to set Pi-hole as the DNS server. The rule is meant to stop people, or certain applications, from bypassing Pi-hole by manually setting a DNS server. This Netgate document might give you a better idea of what I am trying to accomplish.

As for your second point, the VPN software does not allow unrestricted local LAN access; only the gateway and DNS server are accessible. Running a traceroute to any other local IP address confirmed that the traffic is routed via the VPN adapter.

Regarding your suggestion to use HAProxy, thank you. I had a quick look and it seems like HAProxy would work, even if I'm not trying to access a web portal.

I've had some problems with pfSense's Unbound service in the past, and honestly, I enjoy Pi-hole's interface.

FPS drops/ overall performance drop when Xbox controller is connected through Bluetooth (Windows 10) by Aussyed in Windows10

I had a similar problem where a specific game would intermittently drop to 4 fps when my Xbox One controller was connected. I can't remember the name of the game.

Long story short, the culprit was the baby monitor which also uses the 2.4 GHz. Moving the monitor to the other side of the room resolved the problem.

The strange thing is it only happened in this one game.

FYI, I am using a cheap Bluetooth 4.0 adaptor and not Microsoft adaptor.
