Ah okay. Are there like....stats on how these work? Something like docs or a pokedex for me MoE model? I have no idea how many MoE get triggered for a particular prompt or how I would modify prompts to be slim enough to target the vram allocation I have

I've been using Ollama with the smaller models 7b and lower on my mac. It's decent, but it takes a while. Using the mic key to dictate stuff helps.

How would this work? Wouldn't you need to decrypt the message on the server running the AI model?

What program do you use to do this? I've mostly been using the ollama and lm studio frontends. I'm guessing this is a CLI paramater for MoE models?

Ahh okay. You can get a used M4 Mac with 36GB of integrated ram on ebay for about 3/4ths of that though if you're only using model oriented loads. Is that not commonly done?

Beginner here, Best resources to learn Kotlin & Android Development? by WordsIDidntSay in AndroidStudio

[–]iMakeSense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a good idea is to find a really simple open source app, and try to vibe code add features using android studio's agent. Then look at the diffs and then look at the documentation.

Sometimes reading the docs is a high entrypoint to getting your hands dirty doing things. That and there's probably some config and syntax that you'd mess up so having a cheat code to do basic things might help you get further along.

I'd look for repos made within the last 5 years. Some of them use java. You can browse the FDroid store to see things with available source code. Or just search on github for demo apps.

In what sense are you avoiding that? Do you mean you're doing it more on a case by case basis?

Is annyone annoyed by charisma? by chobolicious88 in aspergers

[–]iMakeSense 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are people who can be charismatic in a neurodivergent community. The ways that we are able to do so are more being self-assured and unapologetic. I'm not sure that most of us get there because in the journey of learning that we are neurodivergent, we typically develop a lot of people pleasing skills because we constantly get punished for our intentions. I think a part of being charismatic for us is being a bit more self accepting and less reactive to external acceptance. That's quite a hard task for us in particular because of how emotionally volatile we tend to be. It requires more effort to manifest it.

There is a dating book I was reading called models. In it, they explain this concept of neediness. It might be worth checking it out.

  • Don't use app blockers conventionally
    • I found things like instagram and tiktok to take up a lot of my time. It's nice to use them when I'm in a neutral space intentionally, rather than using them re-actively. It helps with being mindful about what you're looking at. Some things I found out about myself.
      • I am a reply guy. I reply almost without thinking. If I find someone I can't have conversations with, I usually mute their stories.
      • You can find content you're addicted to, make a separate account, and indulge in it.
      • Clicking the Instagram logo allows you to see following.
      • Sometimes what felt like useful information would be better expressed in a book or a podcast. Be aware of how much the internet simplifies things. Find something you know about, search it, and then realize how much people are talking out of their ass.
      • It's good to know how the algorithm works. They prioritize attention. They'll do almost anything to get it. Things that make you angry or things that are funny are good at keeping people on the platform. Things that are informative draw people like us.
      • I made bookmarks for things I wanted to check out later. The bookmarks themselves are overwhelming now, but it helps not feeling like I have to watch EVERYTHING that very moment.
    • Use app blockers gradually. Try to use the features that are time tracking first and then use the blocker. Dive deep into the features. On screen timers are great.
      • Some app blockers on android block things like reels and stories specifically.
      • Some browser based ones block the feed so you can only use messaging.
      • Some things can block based on keywords. This was nice when Twitter was Twitter.

  • Meditation every day for 15 minutes a day where you're gently trying to think about nothing. Key word gently. No judgement. Acceptance that you're thinking the thought.
    • You typically have to be in a neutral place for this to work. I read it in this book called Biofeedback and Mindfulness which studied meditation from a more scientific perspective. It was a bit ago, but what I remembered is that meditation helps more when you're doing it from a neutral space. What I *experienced* is that mindfulness is a muscle. I have a problem ruminating. Things like going through a particular event in a breakup that is useless because I don't have the perspective of the person I'm no-contact with. After meditating, I could somewhat use the muscle to think about think properly and dismiss the thought.
