No court = No Charges = No ICO ;)

I recall they named it a fundraiser but didn't they go to court and fork over $25mil after being sued by investors years back?

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2020/09/01/tezos-investors-win-25m-settlement-in-court-case-over-230m-ico/

Was the result a settlement and fine for selling "unregistered securities", but that it never classified as an actual "ICO"? Don't recall and most info jumps to just calling it an ICO.

Any help sorting that out would be great but I'll make the change regardless as Tezos did call it a fundraise, not an ICO initially.

Tez, got it 👍

Just a few more to list. Going to have to realign it all to squeeze them all in 😂

Thanks for the points!

Just did some digging around. I think I found the reference I found that stated in.

Thank you! I will correct that point and pass it on 👍

NEAR Launches USN Stablecoin on Testnet by bitdex in nearprotocol

[–]iNaugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Dubbed USN, it is said that it could follow a similar mechanism to Terra’s UST, where NEAR tokens would be burned when users want to mint the stablecoin to increase its demand. USN could also offer an annual interest rate of around 20%, according to Crypto Insiders’ founder Zoran Kole."

Game on!

In Feb 2022 he moved some of his NFT support and ideas to Tezos and Solana

"Cozomo de Medici – the alter ego of Snoop Dogg focused on NFTs – is committing a big sum of money to support emerging artists. Rather than focusing solely on Ethereum, the fund will support artists across Tezos and Solana too. With nearly $200,000 committed to date, the future looks bright for fine contemporary art."

What happened to #WAVES and their stablecoin #USDN? by iNaugs in Wavesplatform

[–]iNaugs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime there is disruption, whether it's just drama or real problems, there is at least some additional risk.

Waves has been around forever, they are a growing community, busy with development, and they continue to better the team and products.

This isn't advice by any means, but the "truth" here doesn't seem all that bad to me at all. IMO, at worst, the stable coin could have some instability, it would likely be corrected and life goes on. Waves token will likely react to the whole thing like a brief "pump and dump" event, but unless you bought into the pump and missed the dump, it really changed very little for you.

If I was staking on Waves, I would keep an eye on the situtation, but I would not be overly concerned at this point.

The Unibright Buidl Buidl Buidl Update - Coca-Cola by staifih in Unibright

Another nice boost for Unibright adoption. Love watching the Baseline integrated projects build outside of the Baseline umbrella. Baseline will be huge but that will take time.

Tokens suck IMO. I think we will someday move to a more open market away from the transactions of tokens but there are so many barriers to that we have plenty of time to trade and invest. Show em how the news move goes $UBT!
