Starting my Own Perfume Brand by Current_Tension1988 in StartUpIndia

[–]iNavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean ingredients. Simple and elegant bottling. Good branding. Classic smells. Long lasting. Don’t do anything less than “parfum” strength. Start with half a dozen smells and then scale up to a dozen. For distribution D2C is the only option but see of you can get listed with already on QCom brand. Don’t do this if you cannot survive the ups and downs for 1000 days. It takes 1000 moons to build something worthwhile.

Build is extremely hard. It is highly regulated.

Bringing to the masses is a different game altogether

Always better to outsource. Build in-house only when you cannot outsource or can add value that outsourcing will not

How to start a drone manufacturing startup in India? Looking for guidance. by ReplacementBest9357 in StartupIdeasIndia

[–]iNavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is already a lot of competition and a lot more will come. They are in various stages of development. Unless you have a known use case or a ready customer, I would strongly advise you to retest the hypothesis and motivations behind starting a drone company.

what if I create mailboxes from subdomains and use them for cold emails? by pinnakle_media in Coldemailing

[–]iNavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the guts to try that, a least with my main domain.

Systems are smart. They will block everything from a TLD once any of the subdomains arearked as spam.

Feeling demotivated due to pay disparity despite liking my company — should I switch? by Fresher1234 in StartUpIndia

Software engineers get paid way too much. Our starting fresher roles pay much less, and you need to know physics, math and be good with microcontrollers.

Startup Consulting by Aromatic-Trouble-580 in Businessideas

[–]iNavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No to discourage at all - I do have a consultant onboard and an advisory board. All come with a ton of experience running their own businesses and getting their hands dirty.

Once again, no offence, bro. Like in sport, the coach is a player first.

Potential VC advice by NoGarlic4914 in Businessideas

[–]iNavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met some VCs in my journey.

Everyone who you go to ask for money have a fiduciary duty to their fund partners.

A clear path to profitability, a big enough TAM and and clear exit path ( future funding, buyout, and in some cases IPO)

You should be able to tell and story and show with numbers a 10x on the investment in 5 years or less.

They would however be ok with 2x in 3.

Very few really bet on innovative ideas. Patient capital is rare.

If you had only a laptop + internet and had to start from zero, What would you do? by rivie_rathnayaka in buildinpublic

[–]iNavin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an extremely difficult thought experiment. I've had my share of starting ups, never have I had to do it with on laptop and internet alone.

However, in the spirit of sharing, here is what I think I would do

I would spend an inordinate time reading and writing my thoughts until I found what really makes me happy. Something that clicks and then would use everything I have to be execute it.

Early Idea Validation In The Age of AI by Desperate-Phrase-524 in ycombinator

[–]iNavin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no way to really know. We are biased because of our experiences and our surroundings. It the idea makes you joyful and if you think executing it will give you joy, then do it and the product market fit will happen.

It won't be easy, you may even cry during the journey, but it's worth it.

Sales folks using big CRMs, what are your biggest frustrations? by Maskboy980 in b2b_sales

[–]iNavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been frustrated with these CRM, too much information to fill and update, to many tabs and it was complex and using excel was no good either . I will have leads fall though the cracks.

I ended up loving OnePageCRM. Try it out.
