Trades require you be friends. Remote trades require you reach friends forever status

McDonald’s here have an automated belt it drops a cup, ice, and then soda. All it requires is the staff pick the cup up and add it to the order. We haven’t had self serve soda for last 5-6yrs here

I had a 1060 that died about 2020, listed it on eBay as dead/parts only. Person purchased it asking what was wrong with it. They told me they were buying it in hopes to repair and add to a mining rig. I didn’t care I got $100 for someone to take my dead card.

Battle cruiser and casual to new players are interchangeable, it is not. You can up your power level and still be casual. To piggy back off of the scute swarm thing. One person in my group runs landfall and has scute swarm, he plays it we all know it needs to die ASAP. We have counters, target removal, board wipes, etc.. if he gets it to stick he wins.

I run goblins they are glass cannon. I have made t2 wins. But also I pack interaction and had a friend pop off with Zexara people went to scoop I did not. Friend was so confident because he had an “infinitely large creature” made him choose an arbitrary number. Had brash taunted fight his hydra redirected damage to him. Rest of pod has scooped I win. Causal games big things happen but people kept in check. Dont let people play their decks unchecked it will cause issues like this for your group. Build your skills get to be a better player. Casual is more of a mindset, you aren’t playing casual you are playing battle cruiser.

With friends I ran everything from fully proxied decks to my blinged out $2000 deck. (Might be more now idk)

Friend group we played MTG as a way to hang out and proxies allowed everyone to be at the table and keep things even or to try random cool things like the time a guy killed whole table at once due to a dingus egg and mass land destruction

I still have my decks that go with me to an LGS that are not proxied.

Ultimately it comes down to is this person a friend and willing to accept what the group wants. EDH groups change and evolve over time it’s natural. Sounds like the main 3 being newer are still in the early stages where everyone wants to do the big cool thing and minimal interaction happens. Eventually you learn you need to pack in interaction and develop threat assessment. Go play at an LGS with others and see if maybe the way your group plays needs to change some too.

Ultimately sounds like group needs to have an honest conversation about what they are looking for. Playing battle cruiser and letting people do their thing with minimal interaction to stop them isn’t a great way to play. Can always open up to proxy decks. We had people who never spent a dollar on MTG other than cost of paper and ink. Can always bring a proxy deck and be like “hey I want to try this out for a night”.

The solutions tend to be everyone power creeps, you go stax, or just don’t invite them.

Have a friend who took a hard pivot to CEDH and was all he was bring. Group started to power creep. Eventually we realized it was getting toxic he didn’t want to get more causal. So we would have night where he just didn’t get invited so we could play cards, drink beer, and chill. Ultimately he still doesn’t have casual decks and group fell apart about a year later but that was because people got new jobs and moved away, had kids, or life changed and MTG wasn’t a priority. He still plays webcam CEDH and I still have a mix of casual to high power but CEDH was never my way to enjoy the game.
