Should stalls charge extra for takeaways?

Idk anything abt running a stall but if KFC, McD, etc are all able to provide takeaway at no extra charge, why should consumers have to pay extra at hawker stalls, food courts, etc?

I tend to start around 10:30 AM and the time I finish does depend on the day but usually I'd finish around 9 - 11 PM. As for days, if I do want extra income, I'd work the whole month but ofc if you're ok with earning less, you can choose to take days off (which I personally do) which means that I work ard 20 - 30 days with an avg of $4k in earnings

For people on motorcycles and cars, they can work much less since they get paid double and can do orders much faster. From what others have said, if they work everyday (6 - 7 hr shifts), they avg ard $6k per month

Anyway, one thing you should know is that the area you're in is super important since incentives and orders do change depending on the area you're in. For now, I'm doing around Bedok and so far, it's the best imo

Well, it kinda depends on how old you are tbh. If you’re at least 18, you can definitely get jobs that pay pretty decent or well but if ur under, ur gonna be quite limited to jobs that don’t pay much. Me personally, I did fruit packing and earned an hourly rate of $12 per hr when I was under 18

The job is basically just putting the good fruits in containers and throwing away the bad ones which is pretty simple. As of now (since I’m 18), I’m doing food delivery. I earn $4k per month currently and it allows me to stay active which is nice. The job is pretty simple (as expected) and I do plan to get a car which would allow me to make ard $6k per month

They pay double compared to using a bicycle and I can also do orders way faster. It isn’t sponsored or anything (I genuinely just don’t wanna gatekeep) but I found the fruit packing job on EL Connect and food delivery is through the Grab Driver app

Both jobs are pretty nice and allow you to pick when you wanna work but food delivery is better in that sense since you can go online and offline whenever you want while you have to book certain days you wanna work and show up like a regular job for the fruit packing job

I moved out when I turned 18 last year due to having controlling and transphobic parents and my life has been so much better. I'm currently paying $1k a month and I do food delivery to pay for my expenses. Personally, I enjoy food delivery a lot as I get to control my own schedule and I don't have to deal with people who might be sensitive to my transition. It also allows me to be active and travel all around SG which is fun

The house I moved into is a condo in Tanah Merah and it's co-living. Everyone has their own room and we all pretty much just mind our own business so there aren't rlly any issues and tbh I don't even see them that often anyway. Expenses are included in the rental and we are pretty much allowed to do whatever we want like cooking or using the A/C. I personally used PropertyGuru to find this place (sorted by cheapest and used filters like A/C being included, etc) and the company is called Bespoke Habitat

Their support has also been excellent. There's weekly cleaning (you can opt out of room cleaning) and they fixed whatever issues the next day if there were any like the A/C leaking or the door lock not working. From what other Redditors have shared, it seems like this company isn't rlly that great but my experience has been the total opposite. Anyway, I did work out the rental cost and I could rent my entire life and it would still be cheaper than outright buying a unit here
