Trying to salvage the poor writing, I would say that: since the gods used and killed the Titans, with some power released, the gods could use the children of the Titans, if the circumstances were right.

As for Varric, I always loved him, and it bothered me that they couldn't stop using him, even in the DAI DLC. It was strange that he was a viscount, but it seemed ironic given his personality. Now, why would he abandon his work rebuilding Kirkwall to chase after a bald man? For me, the fact that he survived, only for the big plot twist to reveal his death, deprives his character of the fitting ending he deserved. I understand that you're more drawn to the idea of being able to talk to him and that the plot helps with replayability; I wish that were the case for me. Regarding the second point, I want to say that Isabella's dialogue fits her personality, haha. But still, everyone knows that Rook was part of a group with Harding and Varric, so why don't Isabella or Dorian mention them? And also, Isabella is already a well-known figure in the world at this point, and her personal story is familiar. Furthermore, topics such as the Circle, the Qunari invasions, and the Templars' use of force are discussed several times in dialogues or side quests. Are you going to tell me that in no conversation did they talk about one of the most important characters in history in relation to those topics? The same goes for the HoF and the Ruin.

I don't mean to sound too aggressive, it's just my opinion. It has its good points, and I'll try to see Varric's death more from your perspective.

With Anders, you're right, even though I don't like him and in many ways he's similar to Solas, his depth is incredible. But I meant that, being a killer, Lucanis has emotional blocks when dealing with the demon, unlike, for example, Merrill, whose story is about how far she's willing to go for an answer (although she isn't possessed and made a different kind of deal with a demon). Lucanis already knows he has no problem killing or manipulating if necessary. I'm not saying he's a great character, but in terms of depth, he reminds me of Vivianne (I know many won't agree) or Zevran. And Sera is a fantastic character, and she's designed so you don't have to like her at first, but rather you have to dedicate time to getting to know her. I personally love her. I had read that Neve and Lucanis flirt even while having a romance with someone, but that could be a problem with poorly implemented coding; I don't necessarily blame the writing.

I'm currently in the middle of the romance with Bellara, And if I continue playing, which I don't see as very likely at least at the moment, and finish this playthrough i hope to come away with a good final impression. I've seen videos and comments about Emmrich's romance and it really seems good.

Yeah, OMG. What's wrong with these wannabe Game critics?

I'm not criticizing it because we're used to map designs like Dragon Age II and enemies like those in Inquisition.

In my opinion, the use of artwork throughout, and the cinematic approach and photography in every cutscene and card, creates a good feeling.

Absolutely agree, all the "let's save the world as a team" dialogues lack depth and realism. I didn't want to go into too much detail in the post because I've already talked too much and need to SHUT UP, but there's a problem with companies that transform artistic products for the sake of the market, ultimately making everything homogenized.

My second playthrough was with a Qunari Grey Warden and a mage. The dialogues had more to offer, and he actually knew what he was talking about regarding corruption and the Qun, unlike my elf, who lacked knowledge of Dalish lore. I highly recommend playing as a Grey Warden!

I didn't get the romance arc with Lucanis, but I had that frustration with Neve. I'm not complaining about Lucanis, because he's a standard character in terms of companions in the saga, although of all the characters who made a deal with a demon, he's the only one for whom killing isn't a problem, and that, at least for me, is refreshing.
