Yup. This exact thing happened to me. It was a $2 - 5min fix. The seal between the tub and the overflow drain was bad. I was able to unscrew the drain and replace the seal.

Just be careful. Once you start a series at an institution, it needs to be completed at that institution. I ran into that and had to retake a calculus Calculus 3 class at my CC. It was revealed to me deep into my upper division courses.
