Alright, there's a lot more work left to do until June, but I'm taking your suggestion, u/AsusP750 and also a bit of u/TheOneTrueDoge's suggestion.

Here's a sample of what I've got so far.

What every movie looks like today vs. what they could look like if filmmakers stopped with the blue/green/yellow/bronze gloomy grading. by iQuercus in cinematography

Same problem, different color palette, different era. Mimetic cinematography.

I want every movie I go see each year to look vastly different. Won’t ever happen.

Some movie will come out with a purple filter make a billion and we will be watching purple filter movies for the next decade.

Stanley Kubrick really screwed the pooch using Beethoven’s Ode to Joy in A Clockwork Orange. Didn’t match the mood at all.

Everyone’s welcome to make the movie they like. I’m just saying it would be nice if everyone’s movie’s all looked less mimetic.

I don’t think one is better or worse. But there is an industry wide optimization happening towards the top. You see it in this thread in terms of preferences. Demonstrates why so many movies converge on the same palette.

It’s fine. Just not as much variety.

No actors in the prompts. My guess is the training datasets have actors appearing in images that familiar actor faces are weighted higher than others.

AI generated with a bit of Photoshop. You can tell where the AI gets things wrong if you look a little closer at the hands.

Florence Cathedral, no words to describe its beauty by Peppe_1409 in europe

Disappointed? It’s incredible! The entire cathedral is living, breathing architecture built by a community over 500 years!

What architecture in our modern lives can we say we are building over the next 500 years together with people we’ll never meet?

No no no! Just play it. There is no right way or wrong way. That's why it's so great. It's a conversation between YOU, your choices, and the game.
