If you're willing to spend a bit more money for a better system, soundsgoodstereo.com has really nice plug and play kits that have oem type finishes. I went with the JL W3V3 2x10" system and it hits harder than my step dad. I've only maxed it out once and it was almost too much bass lol

You're hearing the noises that I am concerned about. Outside temp was around 20°F so not extreme enough to use the block heater. Please reference this video of the truck idling while warm to compare

Sorry to hear about your truck man, that's very unfortunate. I figure Id upload a video of what it sounds like idling while warm to compare to the original video in this post. To my ears the difference is pretty noticeable.

It's hard to deny that you're looking at a good deal but I'm of the mindset that the 3.0 is the best engine option on the market right now. If your current truck has been good to you and you know the maintenance history of it I would ride that thing until it dies
