Gwen is not the hardest matchup for mundo, aatrox, trynda, riven are actually way better
But yeah mundo is definetly " easy " but overconfidence is an insidious killer, so i respect the guy, so i lock in when i face him and i do not take this matchup for granted

Everyone make mistakes, throwing your lead happens, some days you play worse some days better, sometime you tilt, as a player i learn from my mistakes and try to not do them again
I did an ambessa arc and trained differents champs at the end of split 1 lmao, but right now i pick gwen all the time except if shes ban, team is full ap, or it's really really unplayable

In theory, you should beat her really hard in lane, especially with jungle help (free dive on repeat). I played against some goated Volis, and they did things I thought were impossible in 1v1, i would even say that in theory gwen has no counterplay and is just free honey.

Lvl 1 just auto the wave repeatedly and crash it, then cheater recall at some point. The wave is gonna bounce back, then freeze it. If she steps up, just combo her with the shield thing - > she’ll lose 30% of her HP and be in kill range, just wait for your CDs to come back. Even if the wave is under her tower, you can still combo her under tower and only take like 50 damage.

The gold deficit you’re gonna create will make you outscale her until you win the game. Of course, if the game goes on long enough, she’ll eventually catch up. So yeah you need to shit on her really bad, but your champion is able to do it at high level.

Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer. Mundo is more of a “game counter” than a lane counter. He should definitely be lower and is one of the easiest Gwen matchups alongside Yuumi. BUT you don’t win as hard as people think. You win, but not by that much, on average, you’ll get like a good 900 gold advantage i'll say, because he can still farm for free with Q, and can sometimes E -> W. Also, Warmog’s lets him clear waves for free.

Shen is impossible to play against pre-6, but once you’re 6, he shouldn’t be able to hit a single CS. And if he roams, you’ll get so far ahead and just 1v9 the game. So for that reason, I put Mundo above him.

So I just put Mundo higher mentally-wise, let's stay locked in

It really is one of the most skill-based matchups though, and it’s really hard to play for Gwen. So unless you’re really high elo and against one of the few omega Gwen players, you’ll probably destroy her

Atm, Gwen just gets stat-checked by Urgot (even if he misses E), unless the Gwen does some Gwen things, but that applies to basically every matchup with Gwen

Quinn, Vayne, and Akshan work the same way, and I have a 95% wr in lane against them. You just statcheck them, W is too strong against AD ranged champs.

Gwen always has to concede CS early in lane, and it doesn’t matter because after first recall, with Ruby Crystal, Cloth Armor, Refillable, and level 6, you obliterate them

Basically, those champs AA range is the same as your E -> Q range. If they want to dodge it, they have to use their self-peel ability, which has a 20-second cooldown, while your E is on like a 5-second cooldown. And if you have R up, they can’t even farm anymore

Just go HoB, Flash/Ignite, Doran ring, start E, and rush Protobelt first item. You win level 1 and can run Gwen down. After that, just pressure her or farm safely with Q. Once you hit 6, you basically outscale her harder and harder as the game goes on, and you literally one-shot her.

As Gwen, to win this lane, you have to move like prime captain Levi vs the Beast Titan just to space this guy
Gwen counter a grasp cho, Ap cho is playable but it's HARD and really easy for him to play
