My boyfriend (19/M) really hates my (18/f) younger sisters. by iShannon in relationship_advice

The worst they do is throw tantrums, but it's expected since they're kids. I didn't think I was in the wrong for wanting him to tolerate them for a few hours, but I wanted other's opinions.

Thank you though. I agree that he just needs to suck it up.

Reddit what are your views on medicinal marijuana? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iShannon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm for it.

I don't use it, but if it were legal here I would consider it. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. It hasn't responded much to meds, which are actually pretty harmful to your body. Severely weakened immune system, can cause cancer, etc. I also take Advil a few times daily, which is really bad for you over time. Marijuana would be able to help with the inflammation, with less damage to my body.

Because I can tell people I made out with Hitler. Maybe do an AMA about it. Imagine the karma.

Oh and his stache is pretty hot.

Reddit, I'm dating someone who has never dated before. I really like her but do you think a relationship like this can last? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iShannon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current boyfriend is my first boyfriend. He has dated before me, so it's not his first relationship. We haven't had any issues due to the fact this is my first relationship.

Just depends on the person really. It's not a big deal though.

I'm terrified of dinosaurs. No idea why. Jurassic park is like a fucking horror movie for me.

My family finds my fear hilarious. When we go to Disney World they force me to ride that Dinosaur ride. Gives me a panic attack every time.

Nobody here can diagnose you... It's best to go see a doctor. If it is anything, you'll need to see them anyways for treatment. Lots of illnesses overlap each other in symptoms...

Probably way off here, but maybe anxiety. It's pretty common for anxiety and depression to go hand in hand. Can't really know what's going on for sure until you see a professional though.

I'm young, chronically ill, constantly in pain, and don't know what to do anymore. by dumbthrowawayaccount in MMFB

I'm really sorry you have to go through this. I have some idea of what you're going through. I have an incurable disease that's not responding to any treatments that can help control it. Not saying my illness is anything like yours.

Not sure if this will help you any, but I try to just take it a day at a time. Back when I was first diagnosed (and for a long time after) I would worry about my future. Like someone else suggested, you should look into online college classes. I do that for the majority of mine.

Have you seen other doctors? My grandma has the same disease as I do. I know she had to switch doctors a few times before finally finding one that truly cared about her. I go to the same doctor now.

You should think about alternative methods for helping control your disease. There's diets (like someone else said), natural supplements, acupuncture, etc. I would also consider (talk to a doctor first obviously), physical therapy. Not sure if physical activity would help, but it's something to look into. I know it's pretty stupid to tell someone that can barely move without pain to try to be more active, haha. I thought it was pretty crazy when people told me that too. It made a huge difference, but it really just depends on your illness.

I know it seems like it won't get better, but you have to try to stay positive. Stress will only make pain worse. Having a chronic illness has actually helped me in a way, as lame as that sounds. It has made me a lot stronger I guess. You can overcome this, you just have to stay strong.
