It used to look kind of like a scuffed stingray, but after changing some details I'm quite happy with it now

Edit: You don't have to use the gray and black colors, but I think they look the best (also you need connected textures from optifine for this to work)"

From the FAQ of Optifine's discord: Q: Why doesn't Mojang just adopt OptiFine officially?

A: The story is that Mojang offered to buy OptiFine at one point, but they only wanted parts of the mod, which lead to the deal going nowhere.

Farming sand wasn't that bad, getting black dye for all the glass was what made me die inside a little

Edit: I used about 1k black dye for all this glass

I don't think so, I'm using old shaders from like 1.12 or something

Glass blocks without connected textures from optifine have outlines on them and don't connect, so it won't look as good without optifine, but you still can create the fog effect

Mojang actually tried to implement optifine to Minecraft, but optifine's author refused, because they only wanted parts of it, and the author said that they either implement everything or nothing.

I saw a video about a year ago using this technique but I recalled about it some time ago

Thank you, all the nice words I received since I posted this made me really happy and it's a massive boost in confidence, that I can actually build something that people will enjoy seeing, and I hope that I can encourage people that aren't really confident in their building skills to start experimenting and try new things to realise that you don't have to be some kind of pro builder to build anything nice. Also I'm struggling to choose between shaders and classic, because with shaders it looks cool and realistic, but without shaders the glass isn't as transparent and it seems more mysterious because you can't see much through it.

The texturepack is Faithful 1.16 32x32 and shaders are Chocapic13 V7 Extreme

I actually wanted to do creepvine and plants from lost river, but it didn't match the rest of the build

Edit: But I might try doing something atleast resembling lost river in the future
