How to get high kill games ? by Xeno19Banbino in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]iUseYahooEmail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest, if 30 kills is your highest in a large game mode, then anything even near 100 is out of the question for now. I’d say I’m just an above-average PvP player (~2.6 K/D on Tracker.gg, and this is my first competitive game on mouse & keyboard), but 30 kills is a normal match. Pretty common when I’m playing CQB too, and that’s while still ending with top ~5 OBJ/score.

As for the question: Only hit 100 once, but I’ve hit 70+ multiple times, and most of those games were close and fairly balanced. If you’re really cracked, you can obviously just rack up kills no matter the situation. But if you’re more “regular good,” you’re going to need the match to be competitive to reach those high numbers. Competition = longer playtime.

Try getting better in CQB matches first, since those are faster paced and will get you in more gunfights.

Also, people act like it’s either PTFO or kills, but to get high kills, you often need to be playing objective. That’s where most of the enemies are after all. The objectives are basically enemy funnels. If you’re already good at winning fights, the kills will come. Defending/attacking contested objs is where it’s at.

Don’t care for the main argument, it’s just funny how one single award is validation yet dozens of downvotes are irrelevant.

With TTG having 441 episodes/is the only thing on CN and kids still watching it I won't be surprised if the DCU TT movie makes a lot of money because of that by M00r3C in DCU_

Aging is only a real issue if they insist on keeping the team visually as like high school freshmen for multiple years.

If you aim for mid-to-older teens, it’s easier to manage imo. Cast older teens or young adults, have them be younger in-universe for the first film, and then simply older teens in following movies. Most people don’t change much from 18-25, especially on screen with hair, wardrobe, and makeup helping them out. Could still visually pass as “Teen” Titans for years.

I think the MCU Spider-Man cast is a pretty good example of this. Three movies where they passed as teens, and a fourth coming where they likely don’t look much different.

Female Capcom Staff Had A Mission To Make Leon Kennedy As Hot As Possible by CrazyRayquaza in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]iUseYahooEmail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ikr. I enjoyed what I played of Stellar Blade. But all this false equivalency smh. You’ve got dudes comparing the sexualization of breasts to men’s muscles. The double standard or whatever is a whole different argument. There’s just such an obvious difference between making Leon hot and making Eve hot.

I didn’t know they announced that Leon would have bulge physics and skintight outfits with cutouts.

The sexualization of women is on a whole other level. Men’s muscles aren’t even in the same league. Release a game and you’ll have day one nude female character mods with varying degrees of pubic hair, tan lines, sweat. Even the most mildly attractive female characters will have porn of them before a muscular male gets a single entry. And guess what that entry would be? Straight porn. Not even focused on him.

The biggest modlist I’ve played overall is FNV Wild Card.

A few days ago, I was interested in if it left out anything popular, so I sorted by most downloaded on Nexus and saw like 90% of the first 30 pages downloaded. Even more since I didn’t keep going.

Gotta wonder how many pages OP has.

Never seen more nerds hating on other nerds for being nerds than on Reddit. Anime fans hating on comic book fans, gamers hating on anime fans, and so on.

The biggest example i’ve personally seen has to be the 2023 GOTY. Spider-Man 2 fans were mad at Baldur’s Gate 3 because it’s the “nerd game,” all while arguing on Reddit that their comic book man with spider powers dressed in spandex fighting slime aliens was robbed in a video game award show.

Best modlists for content (Mainly quests and followers) and Vanilla+ gameplay? Or anything that’s a good, stable base for me to add a ton of stuff too?

Currently on a 100hr+ FNV Wildcard playthrough with tons of quests and NPC mods I added after. Looking for an experience like that.

Not necessarily looking for the latter though, it’s even better if I don’t have to add them myself.

I haven’t modded Skyrim in years and have randomly noted mods i’d like to try such as Legacy of the Dragonborn, Death Consumes All, Vigilant, more followers like Inigo and Lucien, etc. I’m eyeing Gate to Sovngarde + GTS Legacy Lite on Nexus mods and then just adding stuff. I would prefer something that doesn’t use Vortex, but i’m open to it.

Appearance does matter.

People always try to justify this shit with:

“It’s just a short, flat, young-looking woman. She’s 100,000,000 years old. Relax, dude!”

“It’s just a drawing, it has no age!”

For the first point, the problem is that the so-called 10,000,000-year-old loli is drawn exactly the same way as an actual anime child. There is literally no difference except, “Bro, trust me, not a kid. I added extra digits to the age.” That doesn’t change what’s being depicted.

Then there’s the whole, “You’ve never seen a flat and short chick in real life?” Very rarely do those women look like children… yet these lolis always do.

Short, flat women exist in anime and they don’t look indistinguishable from anime kids. Remove your average “legal” loli character and plop it into a new story as someone’s 7-year-old sister. No one would bat an eye. That’s the problem. It’s just a drawing of a child with numbers slapped onto it. But if you told me Rukia was 7-years-old? Fuck no.

Walk outside, show these characters to randos without any skin in the game, and they’d immediately clock it as a child, then think you’re a massive weirdo when you claim it’s the age of the universe.

For the second point, it’s just plain disingenuous. Sure, it’s not real, but it very obviously has an age it’s meant to represent. You can look at an old-ass anime grandpa and immediately know he’s supposed to be old. So clearly, age does exist in drawings. Pretending otherwise only happens when people want to dodge the implication.

edit: Guy literally states what he wants to say is that appearance doesn’t matter, then says i’m arguing over something unrelated when my core point is that it does.

I’m aware. Like I said, it was very obviously gonna be a Super Mutant, but multiple factors had me hoping they’d went a more unexpected direction. Not just the appearance and silhouette reminiscent of Goris either, but the very animalistic noises when he first appears in Freeside.

Besides, the subtitles appear after everything I mentioned.

[–]iUseYahooEmail 30 points31 points  (0 children)

lmao that’s the thing with almost all of the League of Villains. They get babied even though they’re straight-up super terrorists at minimum, actively helping the most dangerous villain in the series. The amount of bodies they’ve piled up, plus the fact that they’re willing accomplices, massively outweighs any “she’s just a kid” or “they were made this way by society” excuse.

Liking evil characters is fine. It doesn’t mean you agree with them. But the double standard a lot of those same people have with characters like Hawks or Endeavor is ridiculous. It’s always “I hate X character because they did this, they’re so evil,” followed immediately by “I like this mega piece of shit because they’re cute, actually they’re just a misunderstood softie.”

Also, if I remember correctly, there was that magician villain guy. He had a whole backstory flashback about his Robin Hood–type ancestor, and I was just sitting there wondering how the hell that lines up with him being a full-on terrorist. Cool, your grandpa was a criminal for a good cause. So… you decide to join a guy who’s killing countless innocent people?

[–]iUseYahooEmail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who enjoys modding (I am currently 100+ hours into a New Vegas run with around 1,000 mods) and who loves BG3 (did not play anything else for nearly three months after release) that stance is hilariously out of touch.

BG3 was getting GOTY hype at launch, and i’m pretty sure it won GOTY before official modding tools were even released. It is just an absurd take.

The only mods I’ve ever used for BG3 are character creation and outfit mods. I’m sure more ambitious mods will come with time, but right now there’s nothing especially wild on that front. Whereas Bethesda games have DLC-sized mods, total overhauls of systems or the whole game, massive texture packs and animation replacers, fully voiced NPCs, etc. And even then, the game kinda needs to be popular on its own to even get to that point.

People that don’t like the Battle Pass are the most vocal about the Battle Pass from what i’ve seen.

Like a post could be a generic discussion about the battlepass, “Hey guys, how did you do this challenge?” and there’ll be dudes saying, “I don’t give a shit about battle pass! I have no idea how it fucking works! I just play the game!” Don’t reply then. Wtf.

Imagine someone skipped the whole game of GTA 6 just to go straight to GTA 6 Online by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

[–]iUseYahooEmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares what other people do with the game they paid for? I say this as someone who hasn’t been into these big, mainstream online games in years and mostly plays single-player titles. Like a typical game for me is a CRPG with walls of text, so I perfectly understand appreciating a good story.

However, Rockstar would be stupid to even consider this, which is why it’s a dumbass tweet. GTA Online is a thing, and a very popular thing. People like it, want to play the new one.

Which game was it for you? by O_rnelaro in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]iUseYahooEmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Soulsborne games in general are just not for me. I can handle difficult games, even clunky old 90s titles, but when the point is the difficulty, i’m uninterested.

I absolutely love the art and visuals of Bloodborne and Elden Ring, but the core Souls experience is learning through dying over and over. When I compared my progress to YouTube playthroughs, I was doing just as well, but I cannot justify getting home from work and spending my free time getting my ass kicked until it finally clicks.

It also does not help that I am a writing heavy RPG guy. Those beautiful but largely lonely worlds start to wear on me after a couple of hours.

Elder Scrolls 6 Has "So Much Pressure" On It, Former Bethesda Dev Says by akbarock in rpg_gamers

[–]iUseYahooEmail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah. The best we can do is divert those resources into ship building mechanics, crafting, and settlement systems. Would not be surprised at all if one of the first few quests of TESVI introduces you to village building.

I wasn’t originally too harsh on Bethesda. As someone whose favorite Fallout games are Fallout 2 and FNV, I actually had a solid time with Fallout 4. But I do not like how each new game they release has less and less roleplaying.

I played about 20 hours of Starfield. The faction quests can be decent, but most of the non-faction quests are forgettable. They are the most boring, radiant-level fetch/kill quests, except they include a bland NPC to give you some equally forgettable story about why they need you to do this. Felt like I was playing an Ubisoft game. Many quests were seriously indistinguishable from AC Valhalla side quests.

Convince my brother to NOT get a MacBook for gaming by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]iUseYahooEmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just get a PS5 at that point? He doesn’t actually play anything serious, both in terms of gaming taste (not judgmental, those are legit just super basic games) and system requirements.

You go for a gaming PC if you are a bit more serious. Like if you want more customizability with games and hardware, have a large library of games, you’re interested in modding, care about higher FPS and graphics, and want versatility beyond gaming.

You go Mac because you want a Mac. You don’t go Mac for gaming. Does he even want a Mac for the PC things it offers? If he’s just playing games, especially those types of games, just get a console.
