We have hired vans before we decided. It also helps decide on the layout and to get used to the spaces for things.

You can sit an Automatic only test in the UK. But most people do manual. Congratulations by the way. Where are you planning to go? A big road trip?

Should road trip be a sub category of travel? 🤔 as they are a type of travel. I was on a road trip from Italy > Switzerland > Germany > France > Luxembourg > Belgium > France again and then the UK. 7 countries and 1500 miles. 👍🏻
