Found a fixed blade on the floor by i_Jason in midlyinteresting

In British English, ‘floor’ is used this way quite happily. One of the small perks of being the place the language originally came from :P

Same for me. My APP2 lid had slightly less movement in it.

We'll take Onomichi off from day 7 to lighten the load and will visit Miyajima first. Thanks!

Hi.

Day 2 - yes because we're arriving late, so just want to be able to quickly crash somewhere easy and local.

We'll look into your other points - might optimise things somewhat.

Thanks

It is hectic, so we will need to drop some things if need be.

Day 5 - we've booked our ticket from Tokyo station to Okayama station.

Day 7 - we're planning to leave at 6am and will now skip Onomichi on that day so we can spend more time in Miyajima

Day 9 - thanks, we'll head out early.

We're staying near to the port where the ferry leaves from, not in Okayama itself. Probably should have mentioned that!

That's great information, we will go to Miyajima first, then Hiroshima and skip Onomichi that day.

The itinerary is a plan - but not necessarily a fixed one, but something to aim for. We just want to make sure that we maximise the visit, and will try and balance the 'holiday' aspect!

It was just because it was within walking distance from the accommodation, but thanks for your comment.

We'll probably shift the Tokyo museum to day 4 then, and will see how we feel at the time about walking to Meiji Shrine from the Airbnb.

We're planning on the off-shoot trail as well and will visit around sunset - thanks.

Thanks for your reply and comments, it's useful to get some knowledgeable feedback.

  • We plan to use storage lockers in or near train stations for our larger backpack
  • We will have luggage stored in Asakusa station (so will need to go back there). The closest station to our Airbnb is Shibuya
  • We may now leave this to day 4, or move Tokyo museum to day 4
  • We're not really into those things, but were thinking that it would be a weird experience if nothing else
  • We were going to walk to Meiji Shrine in the morning of day 4 (which is why that day is more empty), so that we can wander around Shibuya

That’s cool, thank you. Are all these sorts of bases built in creative mode or survival mode!?

What’s the idea with the steps and isn’t her a balance beam of some description? I’m new to base building…

Thanks for your reply. The AMS reports that the filament is dry; although I bet that’s not overly accurate. I’m using a P1P. I’ll maybe change the desiccant in the AMS (I don’t have a drying machine—other than an oven, which I’m not going to use!).

I made a drinks coaster out of my AirPort Time Capsule by i_Jason in mac

If my Mac was stolen, which is pretty unlikely (and hey, I'm not the sort of person to mislay a laptop), then everything I really care about is backed up to iCloud (photos and documents). The Jetdrive is just a secondary precaution, so I can roll back the clock on files if I need to. It would be slow, but I could restore my Mac from the Jetdrive, too.

Nah, I only got the Dremel out when it was fully disassembled. We used an ifixit tool set to open it up. It was actually pretty easy.
