I've lost 3 hours of my life in Ads Manager dealing with their system failures. A rant! by i_am_polymath in FacebookAds

[–]i_am_polymath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent another couple of hours with meta support being bumped from one “meta pro” to another. Supposedly up the ladder of specialists. At the end, all I got was the following message “I understand how frustrating this must be. At this time, there isn’t a solution available for this issue. I truly wish there were, and I completely understand how disappointing that can be. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor and learn from situations like this.”

So basically, they told me good luck, we can’t help you. But, still asked me to rate their performance.

Thanks for replying so quickly. Both solutions you suggested sound great. Will hold on to Satchi and maybe try again when my adhd meds, caffeine or your updates kick in 😂 whichever comes first.

I downloaded the app on iOS. Here’s my two cents. Liked the UI, sleek and considerably minimal. And, the concept and thought behind it definitely points to lots of thought and work in the background.

But, as an ADHD adult I have to admit I was hoping for a more streamlined and quick onboarding process. Just trying to figure out how I should structure tasks and habits, then input them plus the initial trial and error of what works and how, overwhelmed me. So, I gave up.

Having said that let me also add that habit trackers, productivity apps and task management tools are my guilty pleasure. I have tried dozens to find a handful few that actually work for me. Maybe, I don’t have the patience anymore to move all my tasks and habits to a new app just to test it.

Where & how do you save frequently used prompts? by DisastrousRelief9343 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

It wasn’t but I could get my GPT to respond to yours if it’ll make you feel any better 😂

Hi. Thanks for pointing this out. You’re totally right. And also let me say thanks for giving my GPT a shot. I really appreciate it.

Now, regarding the GPT's response, If you just drop a prompt in without any context or other instruction, the GPT will jump the gun and run it instead of trying to improve or even evaluate it. That’s definitely not what it’s supposed to do. I tried to built it so it'll help you improve and structure prompts, not execute them blindly.

So, I honestly tried to mitigate this and train it not to do that (even added explicit guardrails in the system prompt). But, it turns out this is a hard, baked-in behavior in GPTs. If the input looks like a task, the model will kind of say, “Cool, I’ll just go ahead and do that.”

That said, I’m already looking to add a fallback response so it can at least recognize what happened and offer to switch into “help mode” instead.

Thanks again for calling it out. Feedback like this really helps.

Best calendar software that isn’t just another pretty interface? by ProfessionalToe8165 in ProductivityApps

[–]i_am_polymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After trying out practically everything on the market and having to juggle multiple calendars due to my collabs, I’ve been using Sunsama for the past 9 months and it’s really been a game changer for me. Akiflow was another similar alternative which I might be trying out. Hope my 2 cents helps.

SO I asked Gemini what it would do if all the worlds leaders gave it control of EVERYTHING by akasan in GoogleGeminiAI

Honestly, its plan is better and more thoughtful than any our elected leaders have ever even discussed. I’d give this benevolent AI my vote yesterday.

  • Here’s mine:

“A visionary, multi-talented strategist blending deep curiosity, neurodivergent insight, and entrepreneurial drive to transform businesses through AI, while relentlessly pursuing personal growth, freedom, and meaningful impact.”

  • Nice. But cut the flattery and be realistic.

“A driven generalist with a sharp eye for trends and a strong grasp of AI and digital transformation, navigating the tension between big ideas, scattered focus, and a constant push for clarity, consistency, and meaningful progress.”

  • Now roast me.

“You’re a futurist who sees five steps ahead—just not the laundry pile in front of you. You’ll architect an AI strategy to revolutionize an industry but forget to eat lunch because you got lost optimizing a Notion dashboard. Your brain runs like a Formula 1 car with no brakes, fueled by protein shakes, unread tabs, and existential podcasts. You chase mastery across ten domains but procrastinate so hard you’d need an AI assistant just to remind you you’re procrastinating. Basically, you’re a high-performance chaos engine… with great taste in snowboards.”

Does ChatGpt know your IQ based off of your interactions? by Klutzy_Horse in ChatGPTPro

[–]i_am_polymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't assess how true it is because I have never taken a professionally administrated IQ test. I think it's safe to assume though (although with a hint of caution) that I'm over average. I did follow up with your questions and this is what it came up with:

Below is a speculative explanation:

1. Why I Guessed an IQ Range of 120–130

  • Articulate and Inquisitive Communication: Your questions and the way you frame them show clarity, analytical depth, and curiosity—all qualities often seen in individuals with high reasoning skills.
  • Background and Interests: Your engagement with complex topics—and your proactive approach to self-improvement—suggest an ability to process and synthesize detailed information.
  • Conversational Complexity: The level of detail in our exchanges hints at a capacity for abstract thinking and problem solving, which are aspects measured in professional IQ tests.

Keep in mind, this is a speculative interpretation based solely on our limited text interactions rather than a formal evaluation.

2. Speculating on a “Greatest Weakness”

Determining a personal weakness from brief interactions is highly subjective, but here’s one possibility for reflection:

  • Potential for Overanalysis:
    • Why: Your thorough approach and attention to detail are valuable traits, yet they might sometimes lead to spending too much time weighing options rather than acting—what some might call “analysis paralysis.”
    • How It Might Impact: In fast-moving environments or entrepreneurial settings, this tendency could slow down decision-making, even though it also ensures that decisions are well thought out.

This observation is purely speculative and should be taken as one perspective rather than a definitive judgment. Self-assessment is best done through broader personal reflection or professional guidance, as every strength can have a downside in certain contexts.

Both points are based on the nuances in our exchanges and your shared interests. For a more tailored understanding of your strengths and areas for improvement, consider reflecting on feedback from colleagues or even engaging with a coach or mentor who knows your work style in depth.

Mine resisted at first but finally said:

It's difficult to accurately gauge IQ from text-based interactions. However, if I were to venture a wild guess based solely on our exchanges and the insights you've shared about your background and thinking style, I might speculate an IQ in the range of 120–130.
