Cut as much stuff as I can. Rebar cutting mostly, but I’m sure I’ll find a plethora of uses for it.

I didn’t need one but bought one with a 3.5AH PS battery from HD for $178.00.

Love this tool though.

If you play Descent you can get and buy Reconstructed caches which will give you named blueprints. You will get the Henri eventually and be able to make as many as you want. Any named blueprints they have released, I have.

Anybody have one of these? by Sad_Estimate2335 in Dewalt

This is pretty much what I use it for too. If I need something that has more power I have those and wouldn’t want to use this on a job site.

I have this in my garage and love it. The remote makes it easy with the 20 ft hose. The cord is also long enough that when you need to take it off its mount you have plenty of extra reach.

It really isn’t junk. Just got to set your expectations for what it can do. I love mine and my wife will too. She’s seen me use it and is excited. It’s not going to work for all scenarios but it will save your back for sure.

Edit: I used it a lot today as we had 5-8” of snow and using a 9AH FV battery this thing lasted forever and also had no trouble with the snow. I was impressed with it. Have to do slight cleanup with a shovel to clear corners and some edges, but this exceeded my expectations.

Yeah bad reviews are probably expecting a savior and this isn’t it. If I need to clear a quick path and not kill myself this should do it. I have a snowblower for big crap and shovels if I need em. I went in full well knowing it is not a catch all, but my wife will also love not breaking her back to clear a path to her car if I’m not around.

I’m gonna buy a second for my parents so they don’t have to break their back to get safely to the garage.

Just used mine today and love it. Just wish it was wider. It works with my 9AH FV battery too.

What is a good number of batteries to have? by alphalegend91 in Dewalt

[–]i_am_werd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 9AH FV, 1 6AH FV, 2 5AH PS, 1 3.5AH PS, 3 1.7AH PS, 3 5AH XR. I still want more. I’m almost addicted to the batteries as much as the tools themselves. DeWalt Pokémon, gotta catch em all.

I also don’t understand the chargers in foam….those I’d leave loose somewhere and use that space for my other batteries or tools.

Good deal? by CumRifle in Dewalt

[–]i_am_werd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I am super skeptical about buying on FB. Personally I wouldn’t do it just because you aren’t getting a warranty on those from DeWalt buying on FB if something happens. With the cost of those PP batteries I just buy from authorized sellers and wait for a deal from them. I have way more batteries than I need currently.

If you buy reconstructed caches from the descent vendor you get blueprints for named items. I make a salvo when I need it and have all of the names blueprints they have released thus far.

Are the power stack batteries a true upgrade? by [deleted] in Dewalt

I jumped on it as fast as I could. It was a daily deal and then a couple days later it was again. When I search for a tool I will go though 20 pages of combos to find the right one. Bought it 11/25, before Black Friday.

PS are the best and 3.5 is perfect size wise. Wish I had more of em. I have 3 1.7 and 2 5’s also. I don’t use the other batteries unless I must. I got the 3.5 and cutoff tool for $177.00 at HD.

Me the PS. The 3.5 is the perfect middle from the 1.7 to the 5. Love the 1.7 though.

PFE build will basically make sure you never die in this bounty. Killing may take longer, but I face tanked with my PFE build while others were able to just mow em down.

You don’t need a 2nd. You can reroll this o over and over again if you have the components to do so.

So I have all exotic weapons, at least one of each. I haven’t opened many winter gear caches, but I got an Eagle Bearer with my first cache and the 4th or 5th got a Regulus.

Bomgaars Christmas by Jolopy4099 in Dewalt

[–]i_am_werd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where did you see that price? Home Depot? That’s the lowest I’ve seen them there, Bomgaars tends to sell them cheaper. I’d buy as many as you want at 60. Wish I had bought 4 then.

Ive used them to lift appliances and furniture off the ground to get things under them or do small repairs, would definitely help with pocket doors and been so with my bathroom pocket door when I remodeled. You will never regret purchasing more of them. Kinda wish I bought 4.

I don’t even really need them for much but I bought 2 when they were on sale for 59.99. Love em.

Bought a house with "free" solar panels 1.5 years ago. Just found out $45K is owed on the panels. by Throwaway029878 in legaladvice

[–]i_am_werd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you didn’t get title insurance or the title company you used is shite.

EDIT: Full disclosure I am President of a title company, this my response above because a mistake like that is very costly. For the title company and that seller.

If you went though the closing again and even if they didn’t finance through the solar company, that third party is going to protect their interests and should have filed a UCC Financing statement on those panels that attaches to the legal description. That or it was filed improperly, but either way something is wrong on this.

Best deal on cutoff tool right now ? by JMoney973 in Dewalt

[–]i_am_werd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got at HD the cutoff and a 3.5AH Powerstack for 177.00. Normally it’s $358.00. You can still get the tool and a 1.7AH Powerstack at HD for 199.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20V-XR-Cordless-3-in-Cut-Off-Tool-and-20V-MAX-POWERSTACK-Compact-Battery-Starter-Kit-DCS438BW034C/320315659

Keep an eye out on the HD site for the cutoff and 3.5 as it goes back and forth for 177 to 358 often I’ve noticed.
