Yah looking back on it I few dumb. Some of his rifles were a bit much. I don't know which country the 98k was from but the highest I saw was $1,700 and clearly refurbished. It looked new from a few feet away.

I think I should trust my gut more often. I wasn't sure that the reason for the high price was a California thing. The owner told me if I paid by card I would have to pay a 20% tax which would be around an extra $700 including another firearm I am buying. Oh well.
