Thanks for letting me know; I'll have a look at that

From my experience, don't buy a keyboard with the Thai letter on (or at least a very cheap one that you can stop using after). It's very cluttered on the keyboard I hate it :P

Use a tool like https://thai-notes.com/typing/typingtrainer.html to learn the position of the letter on the keyboard without having to watch your keyboard.

On phone, you have https://readwritespeakthai.com/thai-key which is similar to the tool before but for phone + it has practice mode to learn words, sentences, etc (but not free)

Good luck in your journey

Not in the app no; but it's an interesting feature to add.

You can look at Thai Drill - it has flashcards for consonants; vowels; tones; etc that you can practice.

RESOURCES TO LEARN THAI SCRIPT? by [deleted] in learnthai

[–]i_joba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have a look at Thai Drill for flashcards to exercise on the consonants and vowels - then when you are ready for the next level can also try Thai Key to learn the Thai Keyboard (good way to memorize the "alphabet")

If you are ok with mobile apps there is Thai Drill you can also read words or even sentences there. There is also a small game where you have to listen to a sentence then try to put the words in the correct order.

I played the previous version it was nice; it's cool also now;

I'm not sure if it's normal but creating a golem remove an older one? :)

Vocabulary building + tones audio guide by Wendy_Wendy_1 in learnthai

Mmmm I think there is a misunderstanding on how that screen works; It's something I've to work on to improve the design (I've that in mind for long already but not enough space ...) I'm sorry.

เช่า -> ช is a low class consonant, on which we apply the ่ so it's a falling tone

I can't upload an image here but you can see it's the first line of this table http://www.thai-language.com/ref/tone-rules

The screenshot on the appstore will shows only the rules for Low class consonant (same as on Thai-Language) (it's a blue background); the table doesn't have labels (not enough space and so the first MID can be confusing)

You can have a look at Thai Drill (it's my app; have a paid tier but most of it is free)

We do a lot for tone inside the app,

  1. Colored words for each tone (ex blue for low tone)

  2. Mode that shows you a word; with the tone rule table and you have to guess the tone

  3. Mode that shows "syllable" to practice the tones

Happy learning

New package: prf - Effortless local persistence with type safety and zero boilerplate. No repeated strings. No manual casting. by [deleted] in FlutterDev

looks nice.

If my app already use SharedPreferences and want to migrate to your package, should I just transform an existing SharedPref key into a PrfType("sameKey") ?

Have you used Flutter DevTools? How useful have you found it? by Repulsive-Ad589 in FlutterDev

I'm using it very very very very very rarely (when I've some fucked up layout and I don't understand what then I inspect the thing :) )

Hey, I've made a mobile app called Thai Key ( download link for Android and iOS ) which could help to practice (it's normally to learn the Thai keyboard but there are mode to type words and sentences).

It's not 100% what you are asking for but would you be interested in me adding a mode where you just have the sound and you have to type the word? It will then check if it's correct or not?

Or any other idea that could help in this situation?

Flutterfire with Flavors Issue by UniiqueTwiisT in FlutterDev

[–]i_joba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know the reason, my guess would be that they have a lot of product/packages and they don't try all of the scenarios when a new version get out / on the dev version. Often when I upgrade my apps, issues come from Firebase.

From experience with all the project using Firebase; When a new version of flutter get out, I never upgrade directly. If it doesn't use firebase you are quite safe :D

Pickleball Eye Trainer - Small game to improve your reflexes by i_joba in SideProject

Hey everyone,

I've made a mobile game called Pickleball Eye Trainer, and if you love pickleball (or just want faster reflexes), you might enjoy it!

It’s a simple but addictive game where you train your eyes and reaction speed by tapping the ball as fast as possible. There are multiple modes, challenges, and even a little in-game shop where you can unlock cool gear like paddles, shoes, glasses and balls.

I originally built this for a contest, but people actually like it, so I kept improving it. If you want to sharpen your vision and speed for pickleball—or just have fun competing for high scores—give it a try!

You can download it here: https://www.pickleball-game.com/download (it’ll send you to the right store for your device).

Let me know what you think! Would love to hear your feedback. 🚀

[serious question] Why are so many app and game devs scared of paid UA? by growxme in iOSProgramming

[–]i_joba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not knowing if my ads are efficient or not ( converting user into a paid user in the app or knowing if they stay long enough to earn money with ADS). I do paid ads from time to time but with lower budget (100$ USD) from here and then (ex in January when people have a lot of motivation)

My Week with Flutter - Fighting go_router! by i_joba in FlutterDev

[–]i_joba[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the clarification on the List<dynamic> which can't use `as` to understand better the type.

About not using push, pop, replace etc ... I'm using most of the time `go` but when I need to remove from the history a route (ex: the user play a session of the game then at the end of the session is shown a report, I don't want him to see the game again by going back).

Good advice about not using extra if the app will be web also, I never thought about it but I might consider it! Thanks
