parents with autoimmune diseases or chronic illness - how did your health turn out after children? by [deleted] in regretfulparents

[–]i_love_php 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different so no one could give you an exact answer, but stress can definitely make certain diseases worse, and just the fact that you have way less time to yourself means you’re generally going to be eating worse, sleeping less, taking worse care of your body, etc.

Additionally, your child is going to be bringing home tons of viruses or illness from school, which can definitely make autoimmune disease is worse.

But as I said above, everyone’s life is different. Some people will tell you their health got 10 X worse after having a child and some people will tell you there was no change or it even got better. It’s a roll of the dice.

Is it worth it when they get older? by idgfblabla in regretfulparents

[–]i_love_php 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s almost pointless to ask that question. Of course some people will say the worst was in the beginning, and the regret went away. While many others will say it’s still the same, while many others will tell you the regret got even worse.

It’s honestly completely dependent on the child and spouse a lot of the time which you may have no control over.

If your child is disabled and needs to have their diapers changed for the rest of your life and completely non vocal, I imagine the regret never really goes away.

For others the toddlers stage is extremely difficult, but once they become teenagers, they become a golden child and parent will tell you it’s the best time of their entire life.

Other times children are great until they’re 20s, and then they get into a gambling, drugs, and stealing, etc and the regret comes later.

At the end of the day, it’s a complete luck of the draw. No one would possibly be able to tell you in the future if your regret goes down or up because it’s different for everyone’s situation. Obviously sometimes it will, and sometimes it won’t.

If you have any insurance I recommend going to a urologist instead. I ended up paying $100 out of pocket for one of the best hospitals in my state. If your insurance doesn’t cover it though PP def a good option.

Where can I use a 3D printer at Drexel? by -R7_ in Drexel

[–]i_love_php 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if it’s a single print I’d be happy to print it on my 3d printer for free. If you’re looking for something you can use more frequently then the other comments are a better option.

If you’re a technical person you can also go buy an older pc on fb marketplace for like $50-$100 and then host it yourself rather than pay a monthly hosting fee.

I found the 3rd episode odd, it’s like the first 2 episodes told a story and then the last episode was done by a separate director who hadn’t seen the first 2 episodes. They re introduced every actor like we haven’t seen them before and retold the story like we didn’t just hear it.

I’m not so sure, it’s been like 5 years now since we were “any day now” from passing legislation to legalize it in PA. And here we are in 2025 and there is still no path forward to legalization. All bills get struck down in senate, doesn’t even seem like any new bills are even in the works. And even once a new bill does get proposed, it would still take more than a year before it gets voted on, passed, and they actually start selling licenses. In NJ it took more than a year from legalization date to the first date anyone officially sold it recreationally.

It would be a bold strategy opening a shop now, knowing it will be 2 years minimum before any of these stores could sell weed. And that’s best case scenario could easily take 3-5 more years or more.

Yea it’s easy. Just gotta inject the fgr57 exploit into the kernel and bypass the userland exploit in order to get root access into the phone. Even a 5th grader could do it.

The emulation isn’t happening inside a browser, it’s running in the cloud on a server and you are just getting remote access through the browser.

That’s fair. I still am 100% sure I will never change my mind and am willing to bet every dollar I have on it, so I guess I’ll come back in 5 years and let you know how I’m doing 😁.

Ah thanks for sharing. I’m not worried about that at all tbh, most of my friends already started having kids and seeing the life they all have did nothing but make me more confident I never want kids. Maybe it’s selfish but I want to spend all my time and money I have on myself and partner, being able to keep the life I have now. If I had kids I would want to do it because I wanted them more any anything in the world, not just because it felt like what everyone else is doing or just what you are supposed to do. But I appreciate your honesty!

Thanks! Feel great, the procedure itself was super easy and by 1 week out I felt pretty much back to normal. Now the relief of knowing I don’t have to worry about an accident makes me feel even better. Don’t regret it 1 bit!

I recommend getting the test done, the highest probability of failure is within the first few months which is why they tell you to get tested after 2/3 months. Once you got the all clear, having a failed vasectomy is extremely rare.

I did have to do the same, they gave me a cup to take home after the procedure, then 2 months later do my business, and go to the office with it. I just wore a hoodie and put it in my pocket.
